I can’t go to my own website borundebnath.com since I logged in to the interserver by mistake. After logging in to the interserver an email comes from <[email protected]> and from then I can’t go to my own website with my mobile or laptop using my wifi, but with mobile’s hotspot I can go to my website. To fix the problem I checked the WP Security blacklist with hotspot and saved my IP in the white list but it is not solved yet. Please fix it

I updated the plugin and am also trying tofigure out an issue with events manager. I deactivated this plugin to test if it was causing events issue ( it was not) and then reactivated it. but the pages are no longer private and the menu in settings is not there.

Hey guys,

When I activate the plugin and put the slug for “shop” in the settings, the plugin still blocks my shop pages from non-signed in users.

I only want to block my Buddypress Forum pages, not the shop pages.

Do you know why this happens?

Thank you for this plug-in. I’ve just downloaded it and it seems very useful so far. However, one problem I have:

Under plugin settings, I’ve input three slugs for child pages to UNBLOCK on my (ie.. about-us/page-1, about-us/page-2, about-us/page-3), however these pages are still blocked by the plugin.

How do I unblock these pages in the settings?

Is it possible to unblock group home pages only, whilst blocking all the rest of the content within a group?

BTW, I assume the 20 page unblock limit can be extended with a little custom coding? … (we need 50+ to be public, rest private)

I am confused.
My Redirect Slug is “register”.
I have a page with that slug. The page says “If you are not a member…”
But when a logged-out user is redirected, the page says “Create an Account”
What am I doing wrong?

Am facing a strange issue with BP 2.0 and your plugin used to work fine with BP 1.9.2

With BP 2.0 even if BP pages like Activity/Members/Groups are specified as unblocked pages but still its asking to login/register.

In short with BP 2.0 your plugin doesnt work well with BP pages. Other WP pages it works fine.

Can you kindly look into this issue?

Hi there,
BP Private Community has been working great for me so far, but I have one issue with unblocking pages. I’m trying to unblock the root pages of my forum and Q&A plugins, but when I enter the slug, it continues to block them.

In another post here, you mentioned that this may be due to the fact that these plugins are creating archives. Is there something that can be added to the code that will enable me to unblock these slugs?

I cannot get it working at all. As soon as I’m logged out and try to reach my site I get into a redirection loop (any browser).
Didn’t change the settings.

What if I want my entire site to be unblocked but only have select pages blocked time to time? As soon as I activated the plugin all it did is block my entire site directing anyone who is not registered to the register page. I want to allow anyone to view the entire site but then have a members only list of pages that can only be accessed if you are a member. I plan to have roughly 50 pages total.

Is it possible to use parameters in the redirect URL? Specifically, I’d like to redirect to wp-login.php?redirect_to=<em>the_original_url_requested</em>.

This way, a user can be forwarded to the original requested URL after successfully logging in.

I’m really disappointed that this plugin has be revised in the way that it has.

How the plugin previously worked was perfect for my site and this new implementation has made it so much hassle for me I’ve had to deactivate the plug in.

I am very appreciative of the work that plug in authors do to bring plugins to those of us who don’t have the skill to do what we want to do but unfortunately as I’ve said, this plugins functionality has changed so much that I can no longer use it.

Our site needs a blog but we want a private forum for only Admins & Editors & Authors. We will have no public registration (admins will create user names for all our members.

I have your plugin installed and I can’t figure out how to access an image via html link. The image is inside of a child theme and then inside an images folder. It appears that your plugin is blocking this. How might I get around this?

We’re using an old version:
Private Community For BP version 0.9 beta 1

After updating to the latest version (3.6), the following behavior was observed.

IE and FireFox would not display any pages on the site.

Here’s a message from FireFox:
The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Reverting to the old version of the plugin clears the issue.

Any ideas what might be happening?

Here’s the behavior I need:
1. Block access to all BuddyPress and bbPress pages for users who aren’t logged in and redirect to wp-login.php page.

–This plugin accomplishes this where most others I’ve tried have failed. Thanks!

2. Display pages specified as static Front page and Posts page under WordPress Dashboard/Settings/Reading to users who aren’t logged in

— I accomplished this by modifying line 27 in private-community-for-bp.php to add !is_front_page() && !is_home()

3. Display all individual blog posts with visibility = Public to users who aren’t logged in.

–I accomplished this by removing the array from the !is_single() parameter on line 27

4. Display all blog archive pages (author, date, tag, category) to users who aren’t logged in

— I accomplished this by adding !is_archive() to line 27

Thus, my line 27 now reads:
if ( !is_user_logged_in() && !is_front_page() && !is_home() && !bp_is_register_page() && !bp_is_activation_page() && !is_single() && !is_archive() && !is_page ( array ( ...

I need to do a bit more testing, but it looks like this plugin with my minor modifications will meet my needs. So, thank you so much for creating this plugin. I hope that you and others find this feedback helpful in future development and use.

Is there anyway to have a wildcard for what is allowed to be shown? I want people to be able to see the blog, but not the members, events etc pages. Opening the blog is fine but then anything after that “blog/2011/05/mauris-in-orci-orci/” is then blocked.

My BP install won’t be allowing users to register (all users will be created by the site admin). Any way this plugin could be modified to allow redirection to the “login” page instead of “register” for logged-out users? Even better would be a way to select the page logged-out users are redirected to.

I just found out that there is no possibility for me to define “blog” as unblocked page.
I do have a static front page and the posts get to xxx.com/blog
But I get redirected to /register after I unset “blog”!! ??

After the last update, the plugin made ALL my pages (even ones with nothing to do with buddypress or bbpress) private unless included on the settings page. This was not the case before the update.
