So far the calculations appear to be correct for me, but this plugin slows down your website as the Printify API is called multiple times on the basket and checkout pages.
I’d rather not go through the faff of coding against the Printify API from scratch, so I’ve customised the get_shipping_rates function in the Printify_Shipping_API class for the plugin on my site for now. Nothing fancy – I’m saving the Printify API results in PHP session after it’s called for the first time and using that until the request (basket contents & shipping address) changes, but it dramatically reduces basket & checkout page load time. Session seemed more appropriate than object/transient storage as I imagine there won’t be a lot of crossover with people having a similar shipping address buying identical items within a short period of time. I’ve shared the code with Printify via my support ticket and suggested they implement something like this in the plugin. In the meantime, I’ve disabled auto updates for the plugin on my site and will wait to see what happens in future versions.
Happy to share my code if anyone wants it, but comes with no warranty!
Thanks,
Sam

The title pretty much sums up this overlooked plugin by the Printify dev team. The plugin is in desperate need of a complete overhaul and has been for years. The latency from its jquery scripts will extend load times of certain events such as adding/removing an item from the cart or navigating to checkout by 2-3 seconds.
The Printify API works great and I highly suggest developing around that instead.

The Printify plugin is superb. If you follow instructions it does everything you could want from a POD plug-in. And the customer service is great even if you don’t get the answer you want

If you follow all the (hard to find) instructions, the plugin works fine and syncs / imports the products without issue.
Or at least – no matter what I do and how often I unselect the mockups, they keep getting imported. Not a huge deal, but it does add manual work to clean up the media files after every import.
It also makes use of the basic attributes setting per product, so I have to add them manually to the Products > Attributes page *and* link them all manually at Printify. With all the colors and sizes, this takes a *lot* of time. But this way, I can use Swatches and make the shop look a whole lot better.
Would be nice if the plugin did more than the absolute minimum, and if anyone knows how to actually prevent the mockups from importing, I’m all ears ??

I got this plugin because of the youtube video and so far all is working well maybe the yotube video should be easier to find

If used properly, this plugin perfectly integrates Printify with Woocommerce. I’m guessing most people rating 0 stars couldn’t figure out how to use it and ragequit. To be fair, instructions are lacking. Perhaps Google for a 3rd party guide rather than trying to figure it out with Printify’s 1st party instructions/documentation.

I’m not sure what the problem is with other reviewers. They seem to be complaining about things that are unrelated to the plugin. This plugin gives you Printify-computed shipping rates that work with zero effort. It’s fabulous.

it doesn’t work. Wrote printify support almost a year ago, no solution was provided. Probably better work directly with print suppliers
]]>Rating: 1 star
Wow! Asking them for 1 month to update the plugin, as it is not working! And they did absolutely nothing! Have many support tickets open directly on Printify, they keep ignoring me. This plugin should be reported, as it is not working.

The other reviews are poor b/c they didn’t know how to use it. You need to install the plugin on our site but that’s all that happens within your site. The rest happens within the printify website where you sync your “store” to the site and publish each product as you create it. This plugin works if you know how to use it .

Allows to have multiple stores with one profile and it’s free, no weird charges

Works alright and has some cool features. Look forward to selling my merch!

Finally allows other POD plugins to run alongside and works without errors. Great!

First, you can never get the idea of what the plugin does: there’s no description of its functionality, no screenshots of admin panel, no screenshots of what plugin adds to the front end. Second, there’s even no Settings link for the plugin itself in plugins’ list in WP admin. Third, any plugin settings are nowhere to be found, except the tab in shipping section in WooCommerce Settings. But what it does and how – is completely unknown. Piece of trash.

This company does not have any support at all. If you need to check on an order you have to go to the website and check for yourself. If there is a problem they don’t list any phone number to call them. Email does not get answer. Don’t trust them. Horrible experience

dont install, broke my store !

Just sell the whole company and your plugin for wordpress. DOn’t even try to explain just gie up and stop doing software under your company name cause you suck!!!

I’m pretty shocked at how poor Printify’s support is for WooCommerce.
All this plugin does is add shipping options. There is no way to track order status from within Woo (you need to connect to the Printify portal).
Will be using a different dropshipper.

Printify has changed our business and given us the ability to offer merch and apparel with options we were unable to previously offer. Their support team is an absolute joy to work with. They are definitely all about your success as a shop owner.

I love Printify on paper. The concept alone. I have spent the last 8 days going back and forth with technical support via chat. They constantly need to send it to their “support team” whom I can apparently not be in contact with. Their final solution. Get a basic them. Use no plugins. WHAT IS THE POINT!?!

Images are not uploading when I publish a product…
Spent almost two days with the support, they pushed my issue to the tech support and said that will come up with an idea in 1-2 days…
Meanwhile, I’ve been debugging the website, and when I disabled W3 Total Cache, Printify began to work.
I wrote it to support and they said:
“Hello *****,
***** from Printify here.
Thank you for getting back to us and my humble apologies for the late reply. We have been unusually busy with incoming queries today.
Currently, Printify has a number of incompatible plugins that include W3 Total Cache. Unfortunately, in order for the true size of the images to be uploaded onto Mockup Generator, we must refuse these incompatible plugins. Can you kindly try to contact your web server administrator and ask them to recommend a plugin that is similar to W3 Total Cache?”
As a result – incompatible with W3 Total Cache.
And here comes the question:
Why did I spend almost 2 days, fu**ing up my brain, changing my web server settings as to your support recommendations, waiting from 10 to 30 minutes to publish a product after each little change???!!!!!
Just for you then to say to me “Hey, we have a list of incompatible plugins”???!!!!
What the heck guys?
The most awful experience I’ve ever had.

Was working fine for a couple of months and then plugin crashed the site. Received error report from host and sent to Printify. Been contacting tech support everyday for a week but they just give no fix and no estimate on fix. Not sure if they have have anybody working on it.

All this app seems to do is display the printify website in a frame inside the WP admin control panel. To make it even more useless, every click within the “website” requires you to login to printify again, taking you back to its front page. This plugin is 100% trash. I already have a web browser.

When I first installed this, it worked perfectly. Most recently, after I updated WooCoomerce, the integration does not work. Don’t waste your time contacting Printify support. They will simply point the blame at your web host or anything other than trying to help. Probably the worst “customer service” I have ever encountered.
Still trying to get my issue resolved (which appears to be something with the REST API). In the meantime, I am going to explore other companies. Thankfully, there do seem to be competitors in this space.
3/16/19 Happy Update – After many e-mails back-and-forth, my issues were resolved. It took a few times explaining, but the final customer service person I worked with was able to quickly diagnose the issue and provide me with clear instructions for how to address. Now the integration with WooCommerce works great.
I am changing my rating to 4 stars. Their tech support is improving (I think they are listening to feedback).

This plugin has been “publishing” my first product for over 7 hours now. No way to cancel it, or delete the product. It just sits there “publishing…”.
This plugin hasn’t been updated in 10 months and hasn’t been tested with the latest version of WordPress.
Anybody reading this, Printful.com has a much better plugin that actually works.

Like all things that integrate with external sources, it has some issues when things integrate back and forth, and sometimes mistakes can happen.
Although annoying, once you understand what you should and shouldn’t do, it works perfectly.
My store is live with 39 products and growing.
