I would like to use the autoplay/muted feature of presto, but would like to handle the click on the video on my own in bricks builder (wrap the shortcode in a link, link trigger modal video player in bricks). How can we make it where presto ignore clicking on the video?
]]>How to change the width and height of the video, for example, make it 640×315. Otherwise, the video will stretch to the entire width of the site.
]]>Hi,
I understand that I can use the YouTube Optimized preset by setting it up in Media Hub.
I have created a custom template with Bricks where I am using your shortcode, which also supports the preset ID. However, I can’t find it for the free presets. You are showing only the PRO version when there is a pencil icon for presets, but in the free version, there is no pencil icon.

Can you please provide a list of all the free presets IDs?
Thanks.
]]>Hi, thanks for coming up with this fantastic video player.
I have a unique problem, one of my page has 16:9 video in the hero section and multiple other testimonial vidoes in 1:1 format, If I use 1:1 ratio in the code snippet, hero section vedio becomes 1:1 and vice versa.
How to fix this? Please advice. Thanks a lot in advance.
With the Presto Player plugin enabled, searches result in a 404 page. If I disable the plugin, searches work normally again.
With the Presto Player plugin enabled, searches will also work if I’m logged in, but after I logout, the searches stop working. So it is broken for normal visitors.
I also notice, when I’m logged in and perform a search, the individual media files are showing up in the search results. This isn’t ideal, since they’re already included in the normal posts. But I noticed if I click on one, on the top it says “unpublished” — even though they are published. Not sure if that could provide a clue.
I tried going through all my Presto Player posts and changing the status to “private” and then back to “published” but it didn’t make any difference.
]]>Hi
With thanks to the developers of the fantastic Presto Player plugin,
What do you think is the best way to set up a video gallery similar to YouTube using Presto Player? YouTube has a gallery format, but your plugin displays videos as separate media items. I was thinking of embedding each media item as a short-code in individual WordPress posts and setting the display mode to Blog/Grid, so that it might resemble a gallery view. Is there another way to achieve this?
Thanks.
]]>Hi
when I activate the Presto Player plugin, I get a 404 “Page Not Found” error on the search results page, for example, when searching for the term “aaa” my URL is https://mysite.com/?s=aaa, I get 404 error.
When I deactivate the Presto Player plugin, the URL works correctly.
Thank you.
Hi,
I am experiencing an issue with the Presto Player plugin.
I have embedded videos on different pages using elementor prestoplayer module. However, I am encountering a problem where the video occasionally auto-plays upon page load, even though I have explicitly disabled the autoplay feature for this video.
This behavior is inconsistent, as it does not happen every time the page is loaded, but it occurs frequently enough to be a concern.
Could you help me resolved this issue? I see that I am not the only one having this issue, but can’t find any solutions already adressed.
Thanks,
]]>There seems to be an issue with the Plyr based players (Bunny Stream’s player and Presto Player). When playing Bunny Stream videos, the player always chooses the highest possible bitrate, which in our case is 2160p (4K). After letting the player stream a video for a while on auto quality (default), the player jumps to 2160p even though the player’s actual resolution is much smaller. This issue even occurs on an old laptop screen with 1080p resolution (i.e., on a screen where there’s no reason to stream in 2160p since 1080p is enough even in full screen mode).
With Bunny Stream’s default encoding settings, this issue causes consumption of five times the bandwidth (25,000 kbps instead of 5,000 kbps).
I’ve reported the issue to Bunny CDN as well.
]]>I am encountering an issue in the browser console that I think I didn’t have before updating the plugin. I am displaying videos using HLS and direct link hls.m3u8
in the player. The video plays correctly, but the following error is shown in the browser console:
Loading module from "https://mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/presto-player/dist/components/web-components/p-...............e1255160.js" was blocked because of a disallowed MIME type ("text/html").
Could you please guide me?
Thank you.
]]>I am using cookie yes and your plugin to display YT video in my WP site on the homepage.
if i deactivate the banner of cookies ( not the plugin ) then it will show the video, if the banner still active on my website then the videos are black and cannot play , why is that?
]]>Hi, your player looks great, but I couldn’t confirm if it works like the WordPress media gallery works with Metafields created with JetEngine.
Could you explain how it works? My client has a lesson website, he wants to stop using Vimeo and use Bunny.net (or another streaming one you suggest). To do this, I need to be able to upload the video directly to the lesson and have it recorded which one should be shown in that lesson.
Something very simple, that anyone can organize and do.

]]>It has been identified that the “Next ” string used in the Presto playlist block is not properly internationalized. The string is currently hardcoded and not wrapped in the wp.i18n.__ function, making it impossible to translate.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Locate the Presto playlist block in the codebase
2. Find the “Next ” string implementation as the screenshot indicates.
Current behavior:
The “Next ” string is hardcoded and cannot be translated.
Expected behavior:
The “Next ” string should be wrapped in the wp.i18n.__ function to allow for translation.
Suggested fix:
Replace the hardcoded “Next ” string with:
wp.i18n.__('Next ', 'presto-player')

]]>Getting the following js errors after latest update on WordPress 6.6
Hi,
is there a chance to embedd a video as thumbnail on the site, when clicked shown als fullscreen and after it has come to end, return to the main page?
Hi,
after updating to version 3 Rank Math shows new pages, but this was only the beginning, of things I don‘t want. As every dayI tested my website with pagespeed and speedvitals and the score felt from formerly 98 to 72. I thought it was the Astra Update, but after testing and many backups, I deactivated presto player and all works fine again.
The Pagespeed issues show many components were not able to be cached, no wprocket, prefmatters, autoptimize no plugin could stop this issues. And the other Issues with the 404 Pages are a horrible Thing. At this point Presto Player is not useable. And this new feature with creating extra pages for Media Hub in Rank Math or this new UX / UI is not my cup of tea. I deactivaed Presto and will use the Gutenberg Youtube for now.
I hope you solve these lots of issues.

What does this mean and how solve this issues

]]>Greetings! My site had some issues today after the plugin was upgraded, and these were found in my log files.
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function PrestoPlayer\Services\VideoPostType::filterVideoTitle(), 1 passed in /home/****/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 324 and exactly 2 expected in /home/****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/presto-player/inc/Services/VideoPostType.php:689
(I redacted my home folder with ****)
Attempted first with PHP 7.4 (ea-php74), then tried it with PHP 8.0.
WordPress 6.5.4.
If this doesn’t occur anywhere else, I’ll assume it’s a plugin conflict error of some kind.
Cheers!
David.
I downloaded Presto player a couple years ago and see that the tables are still in my database. How can I clean my website’s files and database entirely of this plugin? (I’ve chosen to use Elementor’s native YouTube embed feature instead.) Thank you
]]>To display YouTube and other videos to website visitors, GDPR regulations require informing them beforehand that a connection to YouTube will be made, which may transfer their IP address and other personal data.
Content blockers, placed as overlays on video thumbnails with consent buttons and necessary privacy notices and links, can load and display YouTube videos after consent is given.
Various solutions work well with the standard YouTube embed block to meet these requirements:
Embed Privacy, WP YouTube Lyte, Embed Plus for YouTube, and YouTube Embed by EmbedPress, among others, ensure GDPR compliance – but are incompatible with PrestoPlayer.
Instead of seeking support from all these and other necessary solution providers to integrate with PrestoPlayer, it would be beneficial (and demonstrate respect for our laws and the deployment-challenges faced by administrators), if you could offer an integrated overlay-button consent solution yourselves.
Any chance to bring this on your feature-request-table? Impossible to switch to PrestoPlayer on my hundreds of clients sites as it conflicts with GDPR! And upgrading to your Pro-Version in order to use BunnyNet or self host is not an option due to the unwillingness of clients to move away from YouTube ?????♂?
]]>Hello, I noticed that there is a problem in the Schema section and it is not possible to add video descriptions to the videos, and Google Rich Results Test gives the following error: Missing field “description” (optional) / Missing: Contenturl / Missing: Embededurl.
I read your doc of using presto player and rank math, but I stopped using this horrible seoplugin rank math pro, which starts making many issues and downgrade my rankings. So, your recommendation with rank math is not helpful for me, is this the only way to get automated video schema or I have to use another youtube plugin or the wordpress own youtube block?
Best regards

Hi,
I have some long videos with no sound (workouts). When the videos are played from a smartphone, the screen goes off after a couple of seconds (it doesn’t on YouTube for example). When videos have sound, the screen stays on until it finishes.
Is this a bug or I am missing something?
Thanks

Any solution ? Thanks.
