Hi! Love the plugin but pre-orders not being able to be added to the same cart as items that are available. Is this a bug or something that is only available on PRO? Thanks!
Hello there, I’m using your plugin to sell product in advance but I’ve a limited stock. I have set a stock quantity, and woocommerce is set to , but I can’t understand from the documentation if it will be updated after each pre-order.
thanks
I am having a lot of problems to get this plug in to work and remain working. For no apparent reason the plug in doesn’t work as expected. The behaviour seems quite bizarre.
When adding a pre-order item to the basket, it will say that the item has been added to the basket but the item will not show up in the basket. When you check the basket you will get an error that there is a problem and you should return to the basket and fix the problem. When you check the basket, it is empty and nothing has been added. The problem also affects products allowed on backorder and all other product orders.
It takes a huge amount of work to get the plugin working. I need to disable all the Woocommerce related plugins and then start by enabling back orders and then pre-orders, check that the pre-orders are working, clear the cache check again and then enable all the plugins again one at a time. Pre-orders will work for a while but when a product change is made or a Woocommerce plug in is updated the Pre-orders stop working and then the whole process to get Pre-orders working starts again.
Making a full backup of a working setup and restoring the backup when Pre-orders stops working does not help. It seems that Pre-orders is unstable or the instability is caused by something else. I cannot find any single plug in that seems to be the root cause.
This is a problem, because the website is live and while I am trying to fix the problem, I am losing orders and customers.
Is there a log that I could collect when the plugin stops functioning? Can you advise please? Currently Pre-orders is working on the site but could stop at any moment.
Since the pre-orders are not recognized by WooCommerce until they transition into Processing, there doesn’t seem to be any way to export the list of pre-orders to a spreadsheet. This is a simple thing to do in Woo once the orders become active, but I would like to give my client a list of the current pre-orders. Am I missing something or is this not possible?
Hi,
after a couple of time (one or 2 weeks) the Pre-Order Status goes to canceled without a reason. Is this an WooCommerce option? We dont find any reason in logs or anywhere.
Thx
Last weekend after updating our plugins and wordpress the plugin no longer works properly. Some orders get the status pre-ordered butothers totally do not. I’m wondering if I’m the only one or not – if this is a problem on our side or the plugin might need a hotfix.
Hello i am testing your plugin for a client and i was wondering why the date is not showing up on variable products(https://95.216.140.185/bequeenboutique/product/mallory-the-label-suasi-black-top/), i am using the elementor widget on my single product template. It works fine for single products https://95.216.140.185/bequeenboutique/product/pinko-canvas-cosmetics-bag/ . I am trying to figure out if this plugin will work fine on my e-shop so could upgrade to pro later.
My customer uses the free Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer, but when editing emails, sees the message: “A critical error has occurred on this site”. See attached screenshot.
When testing, I see that this is because of a conflict with the Pre-Orders For WooCommerce plugin: if I disable that plugin, the error message disappears and I can visually see the editor and the results of the changes I’m making in the left side fields of the Kadence Email Designer plugin.
This is the error message from the log and underneath that a cause for the error, based on a reply from a WooCommerce forum member:
Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_meta() on bool in /home/website199/domains/ourwebsite.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pre-orders-for-woocommerce/src/Checkout.php:67 CONTEXT: {“error”:{“type”:1,”file”:”\/home\/website199\/domains\/ourwebsite.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/plugins\/pre-orders-for-woocommerce\/src\/Checkout.php”,”line”:67},”backtrace” “”,”#0 \/home\/website199\/domains\/ourwebsite.com\/public_html\/wp-includes\/class-wp-hook.php(324): Woocommerce_Preorders\Checkout->setPreroderStatus()”,”#1 \/home\/website199\/domains\/ourwebsite.com\/public_html\/wp-includes\/plugin.php(205): WP_Hook->apply_filters()”,”#2 \/home\/website199\/domains\/ourwebsite.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/plugins\/woocommerce\/includes\/class-wc-order.php(323): apply_filters()”,”#3 \/home\/website199\/domains\/ourwebsite.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/plugins\/woocommerce\/includes\/class-wc-order.php(300): WC_Order->maybe_set_date_paid()”,”#4 \/home\/website199\/domains\/ourwebsite.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/plugins\/woocommerce\/includes\/abstracts\/abstract-wc-data.php(801): WC_Order->set_status()”,”#5 \/home\/website199\/domains\/ourwebsite.com\/public_html\/wp-content\/plugins\/kadence-woocommerce-email-designer\/includes\/class-kadence-woomail-p”]}
Cause:
The error message you see, Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_meta() on bool, indicates that a method (get_meta) is being called on a boolean value instead of an object. This is done in the Checkout.php file of the pre-orders-for-woocommerce plugin.
Based on this error, how can I solve this error, so that both Pre-Order and Kadence Email Customizer plugins work?
Is is possible to split the charge on pre-order? To accept a deposit and charge the balance upon shipping?
Hi there,
Your plugin seems awesome and exactly what we’re looking for for our business. The only thing we haven’t figured out is how to add the badge to both the shop page and product page.
We already enabled the badge on both pages, but the badge is not showing in neither. We’re using the Divi theme.
Could you please help us out?
Thank you kindly

Hi, been trying this out but have run into several issues. First, I’m getting a fatal error logged on my site running PHP 8.0 :
[26-Feb-2024 07:00:13 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.4.0”. You are running 7.3.33. in xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pre-orders-for-woocommerce/vendor/composer/platform_check.php on line 24
I use Stripe Credit/Debit Card with ApplePay and GPay for Express. The only time orders are processed as a pre-order is when ApplePay is used for payment. Otherwise, all orders are processed as normal sales.
A smaller issue but when using the WooCommerce ‘Handpicked Products’ widget, the button label isn’t updated and still uses the standard “Add to Basket” text.
WordPress Version 6.4.3
PHP version 8.0.30
my pre order date has ended but my orders hasn’t transitioned to processing, and when i get new orders it still says pre order instead of processing because i have unchecked the pre order on the product page and sometimes my pre orders change to completed automatically and everything is a mess, and yes am using the pro version not free so i had to deactivate it, any solution
Hello,
thank you for your plugin. All work good, only I have problem with translate “Preorder Date: 2024-02-23” It is displayed in the order email and also on the website after the order is placed. I tried to use Loco translate according to your instructions, but it did not translate this text. Can you advise me how to translate it? Thank you so much.
Using the Pre-Orders for WooCommerce plugin and i set for a product a release date. I got an delay on publishing the Product but i forget to extend the release date and so the product change to complete. Now when i wanna change the release Date to an date in the future ist says “There are active pre-orders for this product. To change the release date, use the Actions menu.”
When i go in the Action Menu it says in turn “There is no pre-order product currently.”
How can i change the the product, and the orders who are already taken, back to an Pre-order?
Hi, trying to show bundles as pre orders but its not working, cant see it in free or pro version??
Hello, I have a problem where my customer’s pre-orders change to “Completed” automatically, despite the date for release being far into the future.
I think it’s worth mentioning that I’ve had to update the release date for the product(s) manually.
I don’t want to keep changing the status manually back to “pre ordered” and further annoy my customers since the same thing will happen again (and they will receive emails about their orders being completed), so does anyone have any idea (devs?) what could be causing this, and how I could prevent it? Surely has to be a bug.
Thank you in advance!
Is it possible to have a product that requires, say 500 confirmed pre-orders, before said product is then paid for and sent out?
I.e. rather than have pre-orders open until X date upon which people can make regular orders, it’s instead that pre-orders are open until Y orders have been made, and then pre-orders are closed and money is taken?
Why is the pre order still going on on the product page when the availability date of the product is set to December 25 and with me it is December 25? Only the price of the product has changed.
The order list lacks a date next to the pre order date when orders were placed during pre order.
Hi,
I would like to get your plugin, but I get this warning:
“This plugin?has not been tested?with your current version of WordPress.” I have WP 6.4.
When are you going to update your plugin? How frequently do you update it?
Thank you!
I can’t find a way to list pre-order products. There is no search term available. Please add an option to the product list in woocommerce.
Also please add a general switch to allow orders of pre-order products so it can be easily disabled. Necessary if it is used for custom products for small companies who have limited processing capabilities.
Hi,
Can know how this feature ‘Notify users when products’ pre-order periods are over and they’ve become fully available’ work in free version?
Thank you
Hello,
I have a problem with your plugin by not sending any email when a pre-order is placed from the customer. Also, the email is not even coming to the store admin.
I searched everything I could but I’didint find a solution to this problem!
Can you help?
I have a button for all products that contains the price and it’s like this:
ADD TO CART –?€5?EX TAX
when i use your plugin price disappear from pre-order items. Is there a way to keep the price but just change ADD TO CART with PRE ORDER
So it reads
PRE OREDER –?€5?EX TAX
Hello! I’ve just installed your plugin, and wondering how this feature “Notify users when products’ pre-order periods are over and they’ve become fully available” works on the FREE version? Thank you

Hello, does the plugin allow setting a pre order price and then allowing the user to pay the full price once the pre order period ends.
Hi there
I have a woocommerce shop and am loooking for a module to put x time of delay for a preorder.
Some of my products (bakery) have production delay, so preorder module would be very interesting.
But on the preorder modules, i can only see the option to put a fixed date of product availibility.
What i’m looking for would be more this:
when a customer will but a product, he can see that it is a 2 days delay before he can pick his command.
Would it be possible with this module or another one?
Thank you and best regards
is it possible to bulk update the preorder availability date ? if so how ?
Hi devs, nice plugin!
However, on my product, the button that is supposed to show is not showing.
I did check the checkbox, and marked the date.
Any idea what could be the reason?
P.S. I made sure it’s not a caching issue
Thanks a ton!
Daniel
When updating plugins on our staging site, we got a fatal error message which triggered the email from wordpress, though we can’t receive it since emails are turned off. Here’s the apache error log message:

Rolling back now. While it might be a conflict with another plugin, I am on a tight timeline for launching a new subscription product, so for now I will deactivate the plugin (we only use its features 2x per year) but wanted to let you know so you can investigate.
This site is behind a login prompt so no one can inadvertently place an order.
