Hello everyone, I’m using ‘Product Catalog Simple’ to manage a game catalog for a small community game library. I’ve linked a field called ‘loan’ to the user account on my WordPress site. How could I get the modification history of this field? I would like to track the different loans throughout the year.

I have a ‘fatal error’ problem. I’ve been told that it’s probably an outdatet version of post-type-x but of course, I’m no expert. What I can tell is that the problem has occured since today.

Hi. I’m using the plugin for a listing of our museum items so that people can choose to see photographs and information about our collection. I have Attributes Table. I need to be able to set this so that people can search by the attributes – especially the first attribute, which is the object number (e.g. P-221107-01, like a SKU if it was an ecommerce site). I can’t find how to do this, is this possible?

Hi there. I have a product that is in a category but it is not displaying in the page that displays the category. There is 106 items in the category and it looks like the page is only displaying 100. Is there a limit to the number of items that can display within a category perhaps? And is it possible to change this?

Hi there. I have just taken over a website that is using your plugin. I would like to change this to work with a different template. However, when I use the catalog with the template I would like to use the item image does not display in the catalog. If the item image was actually the featured image for the post then it would work, but it seems the item image is not the featured post image. How can I make the item image display as a featured image so that it will display in any post type?

I can’t figure out why but I can’t make the price € 22,50 euros because it automatically changes into € 225,00 euros. I have the same problem on other pages. Am I doing something wrong? I hope you can help me out.

I have the Product Catalog X installed on several sites – working great.

However, on my staging site, I went to deactivate the plugin
(deactivated Custom Product Order first, then the Product Catalog X second)

When I deactivate the plug in, I get a failure in the THEME file
$cache_dir = et_core_cache_dir()->path;

This line of code is just trying to pull the cache directory — but after deactivating the product catalog plugin, for some reason it can not do it. The only way to restore my site, at this point is to restore a backup!
I tried removing the plugin directory… I tried removing all of the plugin values added to the database… No luck. The system is stuck until I restore.

any ideas?

I’m trying to translate this plugin. I opened the pot file with Poedit, then I made my translation. I Saved the .po and .mo files and tried to upload them to site.it/wp-content/languages/plugins as post-type-x.po and post-type-x.mo, but the translation is not applied. Am I missing something?

I am using Catalog X on the below site to list books by an author.
Specifically, in the above case, books in a series.

Catalog X Version: 1.5.13
Catalog X Database Version: 1.5.11
WP Version: 5.5.1
Attributes Table by impleCode – 1.2.2

I added an Attribute: Book Order
I then assigned NS1, NS2, NS3 etc for the value of each book, corresponding to the order in the book series.

The website FAQ indicates that there should be 4 fields under Settings > attributes
Attribute Name, Attribute Value, Unit, Sorting Type

However, my installation only lists the first three — and there is no option added to the Default Sort order on the General tab either.

How can I implement a sort on the custom attribute so that books can be listed in order of release?

Hi, I use the breadcrumb included in astra theme. I don’t use product categories as I’ve just a few items. When I go to the catalog page the bread crumb says “Home ? Catalog” and when I click on an item it says “Home ? My item”. is there a way to have the breadcrumb saying “Home ? Catalog ? My item” ?

Hi, when I try to import a csv file I get an error as follows, but it seems the columns match! Confused.

Number of product fields and number of fields in CSV file do not match!

Columns included in file:
0 => Image URL
1 => Name
2 => Categories
3 => Short Description
4 => Long Description

Columns expected in file:
0 => Image URL
1 => Name
2 => Categories
3 => Short Description
4 => Long Description

Please make sure that only the expected columns exist in the import file and the correct CSV separator is set.

I work with short codes because my theme (archive page) is not very suitable (genesis child theme)

When I use the code *show_categories* I see my categories.
When I now click on a category I come to the “automatic” page with products of that category.

However, I want to go to the pages with the short code *show_products category = “15”* etc.
Is this possible (a redirect maybe)?

Selecting “Main Categories” from the “Main Listing shows:” options in the settings displays a “No Catalog Available” message on the bottom of the Main Listing screen.

If I add a new item and don’t give it a Product Category then the item I added is displayed on the Main Listing page and the “No catalog available” disappears, and the new item and the main categories get a white background behind them as well as a horizontal separator between the new item and the new product.

It feels as if it is still looking for some catalog to display even when all I want it to show are the main categories.

Choose to only display Main Categories on the Main Listing Page.

I was sure that this would be a possibility, so how would it be possible. Do I need an add-on, or is it built into the plugin in some way?

This is vital and I really need a way for my clients to be able to change the product order! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a long Authors page of Amazon affiliate links which visitors can browse but I also want to be able to show visitors a separate page by topic. For instance if my topics are Gardening, Sewing and Cooking, and they are interested only in Gardening, I want them to be able to click a link and see only all the books on Gardening. Some books may cover more than one topic such as “From Dirt to Table” which should show up in both the Gardening and Cooking lists.

The listings by author look like this:

Author name
—Title with link

How do I code the links in the Authors page so they can show up on the correct topic page(s)?

I am just investigating Catalog X and it looks like what I need.

One thing I have noticed is that when I add products it doesnt allow me to add a product image. I can add one in the description, however that means it does show as an icon in the product listings and I am left with the default image.

The documenation suggests I should be able to add an image, unless I need multiple in which I can I need an extension.

Any hints on what I am doing wrong?

The main menu of the site is just a big white area in the top. It should be half a dozen menu options there. It only fails on all Product Catalog X pages.

If I manually place the code for product listing on a regular page the menu will show. But if I click a product that product page will have an empty top menu.

I’ve a problem with the header menu on my site. When I’m on the category overview everything’s ok, but in the product listing and the product detail the catalog moves over the header menu of my site.

What can I do to change that behavior?
