An indispensable plugin for mapping archives to pages, for when archive.php won’t do the trick.

I don’t generally use the archive mapping features, but the Post Query functionality is the best I’ve found. Would love for it to have a ‘No posts found.’ message option on the front-end, other than that it’s great!

Very handy in adding small blocks of posts from a taxonomy. Thanks guys ??

I get it, it started as a custom Archive page mapping plugin. And it needed a custom query block to be useful in the block editor era.
But the custom query block is useful on its own, and it’s really hard to find. A so useful feature for the block editor should be top priority.
Not sure how you could make it work, but both features should be detached.
Thanks for sharing your work.

I installed this plugin to run and output custom queries with the Gutenberg block. That aspect of the plugin is beyond fantastic.
However, the mapping feature doesn’t make sense (to me) to include.. it seems like it ought to be its own separate plugin.
On top of that, there was no way to disable the mapping functionality and it automatically broke all of my archives. Despite having all options for mapping set to ‘default’ my archives would either throw a 404 or return a page outputting ALL post, page and CPT content.
I have no reason to create custom archives and the original reason I installed the plugin doesn’t offer enough value to justify the added work of creating and mapping archive pages.

Very useful plugin particularly the archive page mapping feature. Really appreciate the archive mapping feature been looking for a way to do that for months. The term grid ability to draw from any and all CPT taxonomies is putsanding feature. Hopefully a few more embellishments to the grid like images will be added.

your ideas are great. Someday you will be very successful.

Does everything I need. Good Job!!!

The plugin is good, but I have tried it with the Twenty Twenty theme, I went to create a post grid. It worked fine until I unabled the featured images. That broke the design, making the posts stack one after the other (breaking the grid).

Finally, a block that pulls in any custom post type / taxonomy. Awesome job, does exactly what’s needed.

Thanks for this very specific query block plugin, with key settings/features to allow a site builder to create archive displays by a CPT or term/taxonomy by configuring a block on a Page and being able to set that as a an archive page.
The developer(s) do an amazing job of using core features and adding new options within existing settings.

I’ve been looking a long time for a plugin like this. It:
– is able to handle custom types
– supports pagination
– is able to handle custom taxonomies

Thank you so much to solve my problem with Archive page mapped to a static page!

Simple, effective, well coded and intuitive.

I was looking for a ‘posts grid’ for my custom post types, and this plugin fitted great with my expectations.
Many others don’t have pagination, or you have to first create a list (in another page) in order to add the block.
You manage this plugin directly from the block.
Great! Many thanks!

Really like this plugin it has all the features that you need for you posts you be displayed nicely on your website! Excellent support with fast updates!

The way WP handles archives natively is pretty cumbersome and nostalgic of the old blog days, imho. The easy templating of archive pages is one of the major appeals of the big page builders (that should not be named).
Enter this plugin! Makes setting a static page as post archive a breeze and even includes a handy block to display posts at your will.
What makes this plugin even more appealing is the fact that the plugin author is handing out free support and is open for suggestions for future development.
Thanks, Ronald! I hereby present you with the underrated plugin of the year award!

This plugin makes it really easy to display posts list of (custom) posts (featured image, excerpt, tags, etc.) using a Gutenberg block.
I didn’t like the (inline) css. It is easy to disable it with wp_dequeue_style and add_filter.
If it used less divs, I would rate it with 5 stars.
@ronalfy Thank you very much for developing this great plugin. I would like to donate for your excellent work. Do you have a PayPal-account?

This is a great start – love the options to change the look of the block. Unfortunately, without the ability to display the custom field information that is the reason to build a custom post type, it’s kind of useless.

This plugin is exceptional.

This is a fantastic plugin! It should be part of core!

It’s an awesome block, flexible and super customizable. Very useful to build customized archived pages. I was looking for this exact thing and it took me long to find it. I think it deserves more attention and probably better branding or renaming.

I use the Archive Mapping and Post Selector Gutenberg Block on multiple sites. It contains many options and gives me a good control of what I want to see in the post preview list.
