]]>Firstly … you have a great product here and has been a really helpful in displaying posts in MY order
Just a couple of querks tho …
Please make the SORT NUMBER column box much bigger … I know it can easily be fixed by changing my code, but others might not know how
Been getting this error recently – ICAP Error – when trying to filter my posts
Can get around the problem by deactivating postsorter, then using the filter, and finally activating postsorter again … once I have been thru this once, the filter works just fine
This is the error message I get …
ICAP Error
An error occurred while performing an ICAP operation: Connection failure: Could not receive data due to dropped connection by the ICAP server.
There could be a network problem, the ICAP service may be misconfigured, or the ICAP server may have reported an error.

]]>Hi
Loving your post sorter, but the display of numbers is so small, I can only see 4 digits
Not knowing anything about PHP and CSS etc etc, could you point me in the right direction to increase the field display width (48px I think) so I can see, maybe, 8 or 9 digits … I am using a date in the field, but not the post date
Cheers mate, Rodney
]]>getting an “error” dialogue box every time i use post sorter and publish a post. nothing seems to happen, the post sorter works, the post posts. i am using a local server, in development, but the site will launch soon.
any ideas what this could be? there isn’t even a number attached to the dialogue box. it just flashes “error” and then is gone.
thanks for any help!

]]>Hi there,
I want to delete the plugin in phpmyadmin structure, please can you tell me exactly what files I need to delete?
The plugin did something wrong and I can not fix it with the normal way.
Thanks a lot
]]>Can I give each topic a date, and the plugin sort from old date to new date?
]]>I initially used the numbered feature of Post Sort by placing numbers in the boxes next to the arrows. I then decided the arrows were a better way to go.
I cannot remove or change the numbers in those boxes now and it still affects the sorting.
I tried replacing them with 0 or -blank- or other numbers. No luck
Can you help?
Thank You
]]>I love the simplicity of post sorter. It is easy for me to explain to my users who are posting to my website (https://www.mitchell150.com). However, I have one small problem that I’d like to know if there is a way around. On the site, we have pages that host posts associated to them by categories (for example, we have a Communities page and a Communities post category). We are using the posts to populate the pages.
Post Sorter is letting us arrange the posts on a one-by-one basis (which is good) but some of our posts appear in more than one category (and therefore on more than one page) and we are using different criteria to sort the items. For example, on the communities page, the posts are organized alphabetically, while on the History page, we are sorting the posts by when they happened in history. I noticed that Post Sorter provides the option of assigning each post one order number, and I need to be able to assign the order numbers within each category. For example, Tipton Hill appears at the number 13 position on the communities page, but I need it to appear in the number 3 position on the history page.
The way I have accomplished this at the moment was to set up Tipton Hill at number 13 in communities, then go to the history listings and start the number for the posts that should appear under it as 14, 15, etc. The problem is that these posts under the Tipton Hill post at number 13 on the History page will have other pages that they are associated with and the numbers I have assigned to them to appear correctly on the history page will cause problems on those pages.
Is there a way to use Post Sorter to order each post category individually so that the posts show up in the correct order on the pages that are hosting each category, understanding that the order number for the post could be very different between pages?
Thank you for your help!
]]>Can you please add a check box that toggles your plugin on or off to the post list page in the backend? This would be a very convenient place to toggle it.
Thanks.
]]>This code in my theme, shown on every post:
<?php previous_post_link( __( ‘%link’, ‘hatch’ ), ‘← %title’ ); ?>
<?php next_post_link( __( ‘%link’, ‘hatch’ ), ‘%title →’ ); ?>
Doesn’t display the correct previous and next post with the new order, but those ordered by default.
How can I change that?
]]>Hello, since there were few complaints on problems with media gallery I decided to start this topic. In case you have problems with it after activating the plugin, please write here and if it is possible, please attach some screenshots or any other traces you may have found.
Please, also note the WordPress version you are using.
Thank you.
]]>How can i make it as only admin can edit but not all the user?
I only want the admin be able to change the sort order but not all user , how can i make it? or hide the option from other users.
]]>Is this problem unique to us, or is this a known issue? We need to be able to sort our posts by number values of different lengths (ie: 2, 27, 270, 2700 are all possible values). We can’t use all 4-digit numbers, or all 5-digit numbers.
]]>When I activate the plugin none of my custom post type posts display. The post types are still there and it says that I have posts with in those types, however the posts do not display on either the front end or back end.
Please help as I really need to use this plugin for a project for work.
]]>Nice plugin. Thanks for providing this. I am having a little trouble with the arrow sorting buttons. The screen doesn’t refresh to show the new position when I click them. Frankly I would love to see a version without those buttons. I find that it’s easiest to just enter a number into the sort field, and I like to keep things simple for my customers. Less is more I guess is the saying.

just a thought that might make it more useful, to be able to order the posts by custom field (e.g. rating cf) , or based on the post popularity?
cheers!
