Plugin breaks the WP “Appearance: Widgets” Interface

Hello,

It seems this plugin is breaking the default WordPress widgets interface (Appearance: Widgets). After disabling the plugin I can access the widgets area without issue. Here is the error that displays:

“The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”
Attempt Recovery | Copy Error

Clicking “Attempt Recovery” does not do anything. I clicked “Copy Error”, and below is what displays when pasting into a text document (I edited “MyWebsiteDomain.com”).

Hi —
Looks like this plugin is throwing a fatal error after the recent update to versions 2.0 –

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘vendor/autoload.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear/php:/usr/share/php’) in /nas/content/live/[removed]/wp-content/plugins/post-password-plugin/post-password-token.php on line 22

I had to revert to the previous 1.x versions.

Is there a plan to fix?

Hey,

I don’t know if anybody offers support to this plugin but it would be nice, because it’s one of the most important plugins for me.

I run an issue with it. I have several custom content pages protected by password.
If I open the token url it runs into an 404 error and the url suffix ends with the admin page (/wp-admin.php)

If I click the token link a second time, it opens like a charm and everything works fine.

Does somebody have an idea how to fix that?

Seems plugin makes redirect from translation protected with token to original.
A little bit annoying, and harmful if you link tokenized URLs to translated pages from email newsletters.
I doubt if there is a way to make this plugin WPML compatible.

I love this plugin, however, it can still easily be shared and accessed with the URL that is displayed in the address bar. I would love for my subscribers to be able to click the secret link and get taken to the page, but to only show the regular URL in the address bar, so if it was shared, it would require a login.

Is there a way to do this?

There’s an Undefined error on line 403, where GET should be wrapped in isset() first. Also that section of code should really be wrapped in a function and hooked on wp_enqueue_scripts.

Protected Post URL

I installed your plugin, protected a post, emailed the protected link to another computer, and it worked perfectly.

In the website I’m working with, I have a Gravity Form set up so that the a visitor can submit a question/comment/request (similar to a Support Desk) and that question is published as a post. I wanted to keep the post private so that only the author could view it. Your plugin was recommended for that purpose.

I am sending an email out to the author once the post is published, so I’d like to have that email be populated dynamically with the Protected URL for the post they just published. Is there a variable, shortcode, or something that I can put in the outbound email so that it automatically puts the protected link there for them to click.

The plugin works great for posts and custom content types, but on pages a few things happen:

The protected page does not disappear from wp_list_pages listings
When clicking on the page in the wp_list_pages menu it throws a 404
When manually loading the full url w/token it throws a 404
All of the above is true regardless of logged in/out status

I’ve hacked away on it quite a lot and can’t figure out what the problem is. Other than that it’s great!
