It just did the job for our 100 posts old blog. It would be nice if it gets updated and some bugs fixed.

Very good if you don’t have too much content.
I have some problems in my website, I have more than 400 articles to analize but (i think) my server can’t support it. the plugin show stay blocked at 0% and don’t advance.
On other websites with less content it work very great.

I spent hours researching a plugin to achieve the simple feat of setting the first attached image of posts as the featured image. This was the only plugin of a dozen tested that worked that people weren’t trying to charge $50 for.

This plugin inserts spam casino links in wordpress. Dont use it.

Anyone wondering what this plugin does, here it is in simple terms:

1) This plugin automatically adds a featured image to a post during post creation (good for lazy writers);
2) This plugin will also process old posts to add a featured image to any post that does not already have featured image attached to it (good for Blogger imports).

The featured image set by this plugin is taken from images attached to a post. There are settings to specify whether images are ignored due to their dimensions. Looks like the plugin will set video files as “featured images” too but I’ve not tested that feature.

I used this plugin to add featured images to posts imported from Blogger (I had already brought over the images to the local server). The bulk process stalled once but clicking ‘Stop’ followed by ‘Restart’ got it going again.

The plugin’s settings are found under Dashboard > Media Library.
