I’ve been troubleshooting performance issues with my site for the last week or so and getting no where….thinking maybe the hosting provider because the only changes to my site were adding this widget to the front page. I’ve had only one instance of this widget on my front page for some time and recently I had a need to add two more instances giving me three of these on my front page. That seems to been when performance issues started. Page load time skyrocketed to 18 or more seconds. And since these widget were in the content sidebar on the twenty fourteen theme, pretty much affected every page. Remove the widgets…problem goes away. I love what the widget is capable of but it appears to be bogging down site.

Works just as I would have hoped. The ability to place title, description, image and meta in any combination you wish. The ability to feature a certain post or random. The ability to choose from drop-down list of posts or insert post ID.

Small styling configs. This thing is great.

You put floats on images, but they are enclosed by anchors. Put floats on anchors to make them be wrapped by text
