I am experiencing spambot attacks on my forms with non-existent e-mail signatures and people who have not authorized the use of their e-mail addresses. Does the developer have anything to say about this? Anyone have any idea what’s going on? I was forced to disable the plugin until I got answers to what’s going on.

Using the embed style; the form code is being used as after submission one is redirected to the ActiveCampaign form Thank you page/message. The sender is added to the correct list; however the tag that is part of the form submission is not added to the subscriber.

Please tell me if PopupAlly collects or tracks data, or hopefully that it doesn’t?!

I am using an exit intent popup on sampadachaudhari.com
The funniest thing has been happening on the popup.

When anyone clicks anywhere on the popup (including the form fields), they get redirected to mailto:[email protected]. [email protected] is my email id, but this is not supposed to redirect them here. Its supposed to be pe a regular form popup. I have done everything in my understanding to fix this but have been unable to. Can you please have a look and let me know what is the issue and how i can resolve it?

I have tried to remove the Name Field with no success. I only want it to show Email Address Field. I have edited in my mailchimp account to only show email field, then copy and paste the new code to popupally, replace the old code with the new one and save, but nothing has changed?! What did I do wrong here? I thank you in advance!

Sorry for posting but I followed the steps perfectly (I think!) to set up Popup Ally on my site but it doesn’t appear at all.

I have configured just one pop up to appear after 30 seconds on all pages but it doesn;t appear in any. To put in a 30 second delay I have tried just 30 on it;s own or with a -30 but no difference. I have tried in test mode rather than every 14 days and still nothing. I have configured with mail chimp and successfully set up a thank you page but still NOTHING!

I have set it up nicely done. Then all of sudden the “Initializing Polite Opt-In Sequence…” showed up and never gone.

Even I reinstall the plugin still remain. What do I need to do to eliminate the never ending “Initializing Polite Opt-In Sequence…”

My understanding is that Google dings sites that have intrusive popups on mobile devices. Is there any way to prevent this popup from appearing on mobile devices. I can’t see anything in the settings.

I am observing friends that this plugin works very well, but where are the emails and names of the subscribers going to stop? How can I access this information?

I want to create a form where a person is *required* to fill in their email address and name in order to proceed to the next page. This means I have to get rid of the X and the escape option. Is there a way to disable these?

I’ve been trying to connect the popup to thenewsletterplugin newsletter plugin. In order to do so, I’ve used following form:

And have specified ‘nn’ as name field, and ‘ne’ as email field. Here is the resulting popup html:

As you can see, email is linked properly, while name is not. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong here?

I set up a “thank you” page and checked the advanced functionality box to permanently stop showing this popup for visitors who have already opted in but my subscribers are saying they are STILL getting the popup.

When validating my client’s homepage I get this error:

Attribute popupally-popup not allowed on element form at this point.

Is this something I can fix through the settings? Otherwise I’d like to submit this as a fix request. Thanks!

I tried to copy and paste the form embed code from hubspot for an “opt in” form. But it keeps saying that A <form> element could not be found. Is this plugin compatable with Hubspot and what do I need to do to get it to work?

I just installed and activated PopupAlly, but when I try to start the configuration I get: Initializing Polite Opt-In Sequence…
The “wheel” is turning round for as long as I want. I waited for ten minutes and then I closed the dashboard. I started again, deleted the plugin, re-installed it and the same thing happened. Any suggestions?

Hi. I’m using the Pro version but this also applies to the free version.

I noticed that the HTML form that is displayed on the site is different than the one I inserted. I understand there is some processing to restyle the form appropriately but something that is lost is that my email fields have type=”email”. This is vital for client-side email validation. With the PopupAlly form, the email fields use type=”text” and therefore it sends bad email addresses if the visitor types it in wrong.

This is causing a lot of extra work on our backend because we have to sort out faulty records that come through because of this.

Is there an option to have email fields use the correct type?
