This plugin is perfect. I’m using it on one of my sites and it works without problems.
Maybe you should update your readme.txt file and declare that it’s still compatible with the last WordPress version.

I looked into creating this same functionality earlier this year and ran into the wall of realization: “Oh! This is going to take some creative DOM scraping” … and then left it at that.
