Hello,
I like the plugin’s functionality and still using it even though other alternative plugins are available.
Would like to know if the plugin authors plan to update the plugin, because the old plugins may be removed from the repository.
Thanks!
]]>Help
Auto activation
When auto activation is on for a plugin, newly created blogs will have that plugin activated automatically.
this does not effect existing blogs.User control
When user control is enabled for a plugin, all users will be able to activate/deactivate the plugin through the Manage->Plugins menu.
This menu will only appear if there is at least one plugin with user control enabled.
Note:if you want to use this, be sure to disable the built-in plugins menu
from Site Admin->Options->Menus to prevent users from activating plugins which should not be under user control.
Mass activation/deactivation
Mass activate and Mass deactivate buttons activate/deactivates the specified plugin for all blogs. this only effects existing blogs.
Now, how and where can I find Site Admin->Options->Menus and do the above as outlined by this plugin on a WP Multisite Network based on 3.5.1
]]>Plugin Commander still “works” with WordPress 3.2.1, but it’s getting a bit outdated. That is, it puts menu items where they really shouldn’t be, and uses some not-fully-supported ways to add said menu items and capability checking.
I’d gladly patch up 1.1.6 if you guys aren’t maintaining this anymore, but figured I’d check with you first. Thanks.
]]>The Plugin Commander page is only visible from an individual blog, not from the Network Admin section. (Am I missing something? I looked everywhere for the Plugin Commander page in the Network Admin section.)
When I clicked “Deactivate all” on a plugin, Plugin Commander told me it had successfully deactivated it. I deleted the plugin file from the server. I then visited the plugins page for the same blog and got a message saying that that plugin had had to be deactivated because the file was missing. Apparently the “Deactivate all” link did not actually work.
]]>Hello Every body ,
I am using plugin-commander .When I activate a plugin(Ex: ‘X’) site-wide,it automatically appears on every subsite .It will be activated even we doesn’t activate under plugin-commander options.
If I activate the plugin ‘X’ just for main website using ‘activate’and use ‘activate all’ option under plugin commander options. It(X) doesn’t work.
Is there any solution that the plugin ‘X’ could work via plugin commander with out using default ‘network activate’ option ?
Thanks you !
]]>deactivate_plugin hooks ARE fired when you deactivate the plugin from wp-admin/plugins.php, but NOT from wp-admin/edit.php?page=Plugins
this feels inconsistent, and should probably fire when deactivated through either method.
(I admittedly did not test activation hooks)
WP 3.0.3 multisite (from WPMU upgrade)
]]>Hi,
i’ve activated / installed Plugin Commander per the instructions, left the generic Plugin Menu turned off and there simply doesn’t seem to be the “Manage” menu to be turning up.
However, the individual plugins *sometimes* seem to get their menu entries added but as of now i couldn’t seem to figure out a pattern for this happening or not.
Any kind of info/hint is welcome.
Note: this is on a site within multisite running on it’s own domain mapped with the wpmu domain mapping plugin by donncha.
best regards & thanks
]]>Plugin Commander works great on fresh 3.0.1 installs enabled for Multisite. However, when you upgrade an existing WPMU install to 3.0.1, plugin commander doesn’t limit users’ available plugins on plugins.php like it’s supposed to. ??
The admin screens for controlling which they should be able to use seems to work fine, but it doesn’t actually affect what people can turn on/off.

After some mucking in wp-config adding things I shouldn’t have to add and temporarily breaking my root blog, it ended up working, but doesn’t work immediately and I’m not even entirely sure what tricked it into working.
I just repeated again on a WPMU upgrade and it’s again not working immediately.
]]>I install this plugin in both mu-plugins or plugins folder. It can not load gettext.
Can you check it out and fix it?
BTW: I am the chinese translator of this plugin. The languages pack are still submit to you by old way?
