i tested this plugin on a temporary testing site (TasteWP) and made a subscription that grants a user role eg author, but when I made a test purchase, the buyer didn’t get the the allocated role, they got the site’s default role instead. I think this could be bug.

I’d like to suggest the possibility of allowing free trials to a subscription package, and sending users a reminder before it expires. Currently you only have 3 email templates and they are for signing up or when a subscription expires.
