Apparently this is designed to only work with specific premium themes from the same developer and explicitly designed to not work with all wordpress sites.

Use a different plugin as this one has some major issues.
– Created galleries display as 404 Error
– If you can ever get it to show the gallery the layout is broken and doesn’t appear like it does in the demo.
I tried this with multiple themes and the results are the same everytime.

Although was quite hard to get things going the plugin now works nicely with my theme. Thanks for the free software ??

The demo password is “nice” it’s not demo ??

Installed PixProof because the demo of it looked perfect. Unfortunately, permalinks to the proof gallery I created don’t work. I just get a 404 error. It’s a shame, but it seems the developers have abandoned this project.

Can’t figure it out. No short code generated. After uploading photos permalink doesn’t work.
Waste of time.

Password protection, zip downloading etc. Like the idea, just fails to work for me.

I love this plug-in… it does what I need for my clients to review and approve pictures on-line in a very professional way. Thanks so much to the team who developed this and keep up the good work

This plugin is just what I was looking for – a way for my clients to proof, select, and download the images they want. The plugin installed fine but my theme (Darkroom premium theme) insisted on displaying a sidebar. I opened a ticket with PixelGrade and was contacted by Radu. With his help, I was able to figure out how to get rid of the sidebar and some other stuff via custom CSS. That wasn’t so hard. See custom CSS below
.single-proof_gallery .container .float-left {
width: 100%;
}
.single-proof_gallery .container .float-left .post--wrapper {
padding-left: 50px;
padding-right: 50px;
}
.single-proof_gallery .container .sidebar {
display: none;
visibility: hidden;
}
Well I also wanted to display the text above the thumbnail part as this layout makes more sense in giving clients directions or displaying a message for them. See below image
Well I could not for the life of me, figure out how to do this. I asked Radu for some guidance on how I can do this. To my surprise, he created a new version that allows the user to choose the placement of the text content – before or after the pixproof gallery. Certainly wasn’t expecting him to create a whole new version based only on my feedback! And certainly not for a free plugin!
Awesome plugin. Even better support. Kudos to Radu and PixelGrade!

It took a little back-and-forth with Radu in support to get the thumbnails to fill up the full width of the screen. I used the Divi theme by Elegant Themes, and for some reason Divi insisted on creating an empty sidebar on the right in each gallery. Once we got that worked out with some custom css, it turned out really nice. Support was reasonably quick, very friendly and thorough – I went straight to their company website’s support board instead of posting the question here; not sure if posting it here would be even better, worse or the same.
One VERY IMPORTANT POINT that has nothing to do with the plugin but instead is what I consider a flaw in WordPress: If you password-protect the gallery, make sure you either don’t allow comments (using the “quick edit” link for each gallery) OR that you don’t have any widgets ANYWHERE on your site that show the “latest comments.” Otherwise, although the galleries themselves are password protected, the public will be able to see comments such as “I like photos 24 and 86, but Aunt Matilda’s facial hair in #72 is disturbing….” That would be a little embarrassing to the photographer’s clients!!! Again, nothing that the plugin author can do about it; that’s just how WordPress works, which I think is stupid.

I really loved the simplicity of the plugin and the demo left me very satisfied. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to work with a very popular theme from themeforest (Crush).
The galleries showed up but no other options overlaying (zoom/ select) like js was off, and it totally messed up the CSS of my site. Fortunately things went back to normal after deactivation.
I really appreciate the effort on this plugin and I am still very interested in it, but I will keep this deactivated and wait for it to mature until I can use it.
I have noticed similar problems to mine in the Support Section – still unresolved.

Installed this on a client site and they absolutely. I think that it will achieve perfection once it has the ability to automatically zip all “selected” photos into a custom tailored .zip file. Otherwise, fantastic plugin! Oh, and to the web designers / developers, it’s pretty simple to style up with some CSS tweaks.

Installed this plugin then activated. As soon as it’s activated, it screws the CSS (god knows where) and the Website gets everything enlarged (fonts, pictures, articles, pages…) Too bad the update didn’t fix the issue !
Revised comment: the problem was the CSS of my site. Author suggested a fix which works. Great plugin. Keep up the good job !

OK – I’m a photographer – I do a photo shoot for a client – back on my website I add a PixProof passworded gallery – my client logs in with their personal password, chooses the photos I have taken for them from their personal gallery page and click’s the download link to download them!
PERFECT!!!
