I don’t know if the project is completely abandoned, or not, but I posted a few years ago about it not letting me connect to a gallery, and I’ve found others online searching for a solution to the same problem.
I don’t have the solution yet, but I have narrowed the problem — the other security plugins, including WP All in One, have firewall rules that seem to be blocking the popup. Surprised the developer didn’t mention that as a likely cause many months ago, as it may lead to a relatively simple fix (add an exception to the firewall to let that connection happen).
We’ll see how it goes, and I’ll post an update.

]]>Hi
I can’t get the category display shortcodes to work (inserting single image works fine).
The shortcodes I am trying are:
pwg-category – display any number of images from a category:
[pwg-category site=”https://…” id=”CATEGORY_ID” images=”NUMBER_OF_IMAGES_TO_DISPLAY” page=”PAGE_INDEX”]
pwg-gallery – display Piwigo categories as inline galleries:
[pwg-gallery site=”https://…” id=”CATEGORY_ID” images=”NUMBER_OF_IMAGES_TO_DISPLAY” page=”PAGE_INDEX” height=”GALLERY_HEIGHT”]
Unsure about page_index – have been using ‘1’ as in 1st page of photos in the category.
The category in question is: https://photos.veletron.com/index.php?/category/188 by way of an example so I am using:
[pwg-category site=”https://photos.veletron.com” id=”188” images=”10” page=”1”]
[pwg-gallery site=”https://photos.veletron.com” id=”188” images=”10” page=”1” height=”600″]
Both show zero content in WordPress.
Any idea’s – I do note that piwigo and wordpress have both moved on since this plugin was last updated so maybe no longer compatible?
Regards
Nigel

]]>Does anyone have this working in latest WP? I had it working before, but just uploaded to a new site, new config and when I go “out” to the PW install, it lets me see the options (i.e. my site, the demo site), but once I choose one and it goes out to get the list of available albums/files, it just goes into a perpetual processing loop (the little circle icon just keeps turning, no end).

Thank you

Hi,

]]>I’m using PiwigoMedia 1.9.1 on WordPress 4.1, and its a great plugin, however I’m a bit annoyed by the fact than when inserting an image I have to select which Piwigo instance to connect to… even though I only have one URL listed in the Settings page for PiwigoMedia.
Would be nice that the Site dropdown would choose the first URL listed instead of having to always select the site.

]]>hello i love this plugin but since i updated it the categories are not sorted the way they are in my piwigo gallery. i have a lot of categories and that makes it hard to find the album I’m looking for. The Categories are not sorted in an alphabetical order and not from new to old or old to new. Is there anything I can do?
]]>“Init failed: Galleria could not find the element “#piwigomedia-gallery-33″.”
It’s written when I try to use shortcode pwg-gallery. May be because I don’t know how to use the parameter “page_index” ?
The shortcode pwg-album doesn’t work

I installed piwigomedia, set the url to the url of my piwigo site and received an error saying “Error while reading from https://www.xxxxxxx.com Please verify PiwigoMedia’s configuration and try again.” I’ve also tried the demo piwigo site (https://piwigo.org/demo/) and get the same error. I’ve unistalled and reinstalled the plugin (version 1.1.2) a few times with the same result. My piwigo site has quite a few photos and is setup the way I want it so I wouldn’t be a big fan of reinstalling piwigo. Any help would be really appreciated!
]]>First many thanks for your plugin, nice work!
However, I got following questions:
1. After I insert full size image, I find the img alt=”” is empty, can the system pick up photo title?
2. Same apply for pwg-category, pwg-gallery shortcode image, please add the alt text.
3. Can pwg-category add the thumbnail size parameter?
WP 3.5.1 + piwigo 2.5.1

Can this piwigo plugin show private pictures? If so how do I have to organize that?
]]>Hi,
thanks for the addition of pwg-gallery, that looks promising. Unfortunately I cannot get to work.
I added the
[pwg-gallery site="https://photo.preining.info" id="81" images="10" height="200"]
to a draft post, but what is shown is a black bar with small images of the photos at the bottom, the text -/10, and in the top right corner the loading spinning wheel. But in the main area the photo never appears, even if I click on one of the photo thmbnails down there.
Thanks

Hi,
thank you for the great work you did.
I have a some problemes using the plugin connecting to a piwigo gallery on an https server. The plugin can login via http but not via https.
Even if i had a guest user and a album viewable by every one.
Is it also possible to send a login and a password to the gallery ?

hi.
This plugin seems awesome! I just have a simple question to make it work.
I use Piwigo 2.4.3 and MediaPress Version 0.9.9.
I have tested several versions of URL-inputs in the Primary settings but always get this kind of error message when trying to embed images from Piwigo:
media Error while reading from example.com/piwigo/ws.php. Please verify PiwigoMedia’s configuration and try again…
My piwigo installation is at /piwigo/ right below the root.
Do you have any troubleshooting ideas or examples for URL to insert?
Thank you.
