I have 16 galleries, that is, 16 thumbnails to load on one page. I notice this takes quite a long time to come up. Is there anything that can be done to speed the load time of the page that displays the album cover thumbs? Perhaps, let the rest of the page load first, then load the thumbs so the user isn’t staring at a blank page? Anyone else notice it’s slow?
I’ve tried everything with this plugin.. I’m really starting to hate it now..
every possible tweak, I followed their tutorial step by step, and yet I still cannot see the thumbnail in my post. just a normal link, once clicked it opens a new window to my picasaweb.
So far the plugin has failed miserably.. Sorry folks. might be a compatibility issue with WP 3.1.3
was working fine with my previous 2.8
such a shame to let it go.. but it’s just not working
Hello, does anyone know if you can remove all of the Picansa branding (links, colours, imagery) when you install this on your wrodpress blog?
And when you close the gallery it will take you back to your website right?
Cheers!
Thanks for the great plugin. I was trying to figure out the captions functionality and noticed there were several questions about it.
Picasa captions on photos will be pulled by doing the following:
Go to Settings/Picasna and “Show” – Show or hide the title on the initial cover thumbnail. This turns on and shows the title of the link that was specified when you place the picasa link on your page or post. Example: a href = http: //picasa.google.com/USER-NAME/ALBUM-NAME/”>TITLE OF LINK
The TITLE OF LINK is what will be displayed on your Photo album on your WP page or post.
Also, for those who can’t get the plugin to work, make sure you take off the http”S” on your picasa link and the # at the end.
Works like a charm in WP 3.1 for me now.
I have installed the latest version from your site. It converts my link to a gallery, but it doesn’t appear. After closer inspection, I see that the flash tag is there but the height & width are set to “”. It may be because the ‘settings’ option does not appear on the plug-in’s page so I can’t set these values? An issue with WP 3.1 I guess.
Thanks for an good plug-in, I’m sure its great when it works!
Cheers,
Ian
If you read the comments on the plugin homepage you’ll find that this plugin does not work with IE, rendering it utterly useless. No support from the developer who appears to have abandoned it.
