Such a time saver! Even though I have a large hoard of stock pics I still find this plugin very useful and simple to use. It saves me from getting out of WordPress and search for appropriate pic for new posts.
Cheers!

I’m using it in several sites I manage, and it’s really saving me hours of research work. It allows to find a lot of great FREE photos and saves you from worrying about publishing rights. Definitely 5 stars.

All I can say is wow, I am new to the blogging world and had no idea where to begin. I did know however that I could not use any images off the internet without permission so I found myself searching the internet frantically to get free photos to post on my blog.
Well to my great surprise this amazing plugin was located right inside my word press, it’s so much easier to add photos to my articles without having to leave the website.
I am so happy and so grateful for this plug in, it really helped me out a lot and the photos are of great quality and so far I have been able to locate all the photos I need for my website.
I will be rating this 5 stars due to the quality of the photos, the easy access to photos and just the fact that it’s all free, still boggles my mind, but hey I am taking it all it with strides.
Thanks to the creators of this awesome program.Continue to keep up the fantastic work.

Using the classic editor it works fine, the photos themselves can be glum but there are some gems in there and of super quality. I only had problems when using WR page builder, then you can only copy the url then paste it in to your post or page.
All in all it’s a handy plugin for inserting royalty free pics of good quality. Those who cannot get it to work, try the classic editor.
I find it hard to moan about something that’s free but in this case I have no complaints and am happily using it.

Photodropper has had a great input into our community online magazine, https://www.rossdailyinc.com that just started out. With free photos and relevant photos at the same time, nothing more to ask for.
Thanks be to the developers!
If you think of using this plugin, go for it.

Really Useful Plugin

Broken and no support

This has a short learning curve. I read through the reviews before installing and saw some people had problems, but mine works fine. There are a few things that may be tripping people up.
1. When you click on the PhotoDropper icon (next to the Media button), it takes you to an overlay. My icon didn’t work at first, and so I deactivated some plugins to see what was causing the hangup, it seems it was a plugin of mine that produced an i-frame. It was one I wasn’t using, so I deactivated it and PhotoDropper worked fine.
2. After clicking the icon, you enter your search term and it fills with Flickr images.
3. Select a picture by clicking on it, then click the “Insert into post” on the left-hand side.
If the picture just says “saving” and doesn’t seem to do anything, X out of the overlay and go to your Media library. The picture will be there. This happened to me the first couple of times I inserted an image.
4. I have always used “sort by interestingness” – it retrieves the best pictures from Flickr.
5. As with all images, you are ultimately responsible for licenses and attributions, and that’s why the plugin gives you the option to “view on flickr.”

I currently have a blog from which I make no money out from. I’m glad I found Photo Dropper, which allows me to add great CC images to my posts. WAAAAY TO GO!!!

Tried and tried. Waste of time.

While photodropper brings up the photos it doesn’t insert them into WP, just goes to the regular media page.
I noticed that, although WordPress has been updated recently, the plugin hasn’t been updated since September 2013. Further, the many support complaints that it’s “broken” have not been answered. A shame, because this could be a fabulous plugin.

Works great and makes finding images (legally!) very hassle-free.

The idea is great, but even though it installs fine, it does not work.
I could accept the terms (and state that I use a commercial site), and could search and find a lot of great images quickly.
I chose one, but it never inserted, just kept on ‘saving photo’. To kill time, I checked the original on Flickr, which to my surprise had a CC-NC license that FORBID it on commercial sites! So even if the insert image would work, this is a no go.
Combined with the fact that apparently all attributions disappear when disabling the plugin (as ALL past users will do as it is no longer working) and lack of support for many months, means this plugin is now worthless. Shame.

Excellent tool. Very easy. Great attribution tool.

I really wanted this plug-in to work but it just would not save any photos to my posts. Maybe it needs an update but it simply would not work. Also the parameters may need to be changed in order to improve the search function. The photos do not match the keyword search well at all.

Still learning how to use PhotoDropper, I find it loads three copies of the same image into my Media library – not sure why. However, it is useful for those times when I don’t have a photo already. I would recommend it to others, at least to try.

This plugin is so useful! I had no idea there were so many great creative commons images that I could use for my nonprofit blogs. Would give it 5 stars except that there is an annoying bug that sometimes imports duplicate images into the database that need to be cleaned up manually.

I love this feature right in website. Don’t have to search forever to find the right graphic.

love this plugin even though i cant always find a photo i like/want … that it adds the required accreditation backlink is a huge time saver

For whatever reason PhotoDropper stops recognizing me, and after a half hour looking at pictures, I find one, but PhotoDropper won’t let me use it because PhotoDropper has forgotten who I am and my login data no longer works, and, PhotoDropper doesn’t even recognize my email address.
Maybe I should have rated it 1 star.

I love peppering all of my posts with pictures; it livens up the blog and it makes the content easier for people to understand. Photodropper is the easiest way to get interesting content, properly attributed.

Photodropper works well, but not great! It is a must have, but you are going to have to work around some kinks and your selection of pictures can be limited. I also recommend Pixer and other photo sources!

This plugin is a part of my day to day work and we can’t live without it! Great integration with wordpress. It’s not without bugs, thou, sometimes the photos are not imported correctly and, most annoying, often it adds the css and js to the main site header, forcing you to edit the plugin by hand if you don’t want 99.9% of your users downloading a few useless bytes.
