Plugin is very good, and works as expected informs immediately about posts status to the author and admins
I think one must requirement is when the post is already in PUBLISHED state, if the author edits it and submits it again, the ADMIN should also be intimated since the state goes to PENDING again and ADMIN has to PUBLISH it again

I’m using both Peter’s Post Notes and Peter’s Collaboration E-mails and it gave me exactly what I needed to complete my workflow for a multi-author blog. Users are set at contributor level and get all the notifications with the ability to add notes when sending it back to them for review or upon publishing.
