I’ve inserted a quote where there is an opening quotation mark (“) but no closing one? How do I get a closing quotation?
]]>Hi dev,
first thank you for your nice plugin.
I would add rel=”nofollow” for each post coming from quotes’post.
How do the trick?

]]>Random quotes display in a widget in my header.
Everything works fine except on one category page. I even recreated the page by creating a new category and adding the category to the 12 applicable posts. While quotes displayed at first on the page in the header, they now do not.

I have searched through my code and nowhere is “Category=highlights” referenced to edit / alter header.
Any ideas??

like it is with “QUOTES COLLECTION” or “Flexi Quote Rotator” plugin –
to fade out (and change) quotes once in X seconds.

Perfect Quotes seems perfect–but I can’t find any mention of how to add the quotes to post and page templates.
How is this done?
Thank you,

]]>hi,
i’m using perfect quotes plugin for random quotes on widget. Everything seems ok , but when we try to view a perfect quote, it shows a blank page…
How can we solve the problem,
Thnks
I would like the author name to be underneath the quote, not to the right. How would I achieve this?
]]>Sorry if this is obvious, but I want to add the option for a site visitor to share the random perfect quote that is generated on a page via social media. At the moment I have sharing enabled, but it only shares the page, which generates a new quote every time it’s loaded, not the one the visitor would want to share. I’m sure there’s a simple way, I just don’t know how (I already have the ‘perfect quotes’ box ticked under sharing in jetpack, it’s not helping, it only works if you search for a keyword and that delivers a quote from the database).
My site: orgasmcat.com.

]]>Hello,
how can i remove perfect quotes from displayed on search result on my website ?

I tried using the Edit CSS function in WP, but the styles are overwritten by the plugin defaults.
]]>Is it possible to set up a random quote through shortcodes?
If not, consider this a feature request.
]]>1. Add the “Search Perfect Quotes” function to the “Add new” page. It would save a step.
2. Enable the “Search Perfect Quotes” function to search all fields, not just the Quote field (e.g., to find an author).
3. Enhance the “Categories” admin/page to display editable quotes by Category (if not otherwise available via the main PQ admin page). Perhaps a “View all” link associated with each Category that would display all the quotes in that Category.
3. On the PQ admin page (quotes list), it would be very useful if the list could be sorted (asc/desc) by the “Quote” and “Author” and “Category” fields.
4. Shortcode enhancement: it would be nice if it optionally allowed the list (especially the “all” select) to be (re-)ordered, e.g., by Author.
5. It would be useful to allow the fields to contain html (for example, to emphasize an author’s name, or to add a link to the source reference. Or add a new textarea field that would accept free-form input as well as html.
6. Permalink page for individual quote (reached via the [View Perfect Quote] button) doesn’t show the Author. Can the author be added to the Quote Permalink page?
7. Permalink page for Categories (via the “Categories > View” link) doesn’t show the Author. Can the author be added to the Categories Permalink page?
]]>Sigh. The new update adds forced punctuation. This actually makes the plug-in less flexible.
I have several cases where the author also has a title and an organization. Or the source is quite long. Pre-update, I could break these run-on cases over the two fields (author and source). Now I can’t.
And if the author’s name is short, but the source is quite long, you end up with situations where the output looks ridiculous in the widget (as the author is forced to line one, and the source is broken up over lines two and three). Combined with the float:right, it just looks funky. If the author is quite long also, you could end up with the author hyphenated over two lines and the source hyphenated over the next two lines, with lines 2 and 4 possibly containing small orphans.
Can you at least make such programmatically-added punctuation a user option?
]]>I think this is a superb plug-in.
However, I noticed a couple minor inconsistencies that you may wish to look into:
1. The widget places the Author on its own line, where as the shortcode does not.
2. The widget displays the Author exactly as entered, whereas the shortcode inserts a “- ” (hyphen + space) in front of the Author.
I greatly prefer the way the widget handles the display of the data.
The only difference in handling of the Author field that I would ask is to keep it offset to the right in the widget, but left justifying it in the shortcode implementation (or allowing the user to specify a left margin).

I recently installed your plugin but the ‘display random quote’ function in the widget is not working properly. The box is checked for that but the only quote showing is the last one entered. I’ve used the widget in several places and all instances only show the most recent quote added. Please advise.

]]>Hi there,
Overall I like how easy it was to just turn on this plugin, make quotes, and toss in some shortcodes in content on a website I am building.
However, I thought I would mention that you have at least one issue cause by assuming $_POST[] always has a specific index.
On line 121 of perfect_quotes.php, be sure to add a quick
isset($_POST['post_type'])
at the start of your conditions. I think there might be other instances where other warnings appear, but this is the only one I repeatedly run into as I am creating content.
