please help how to add custom field so it is also sent to email notification
]]>Hello,
I don’t know if you still want to update this plugin. But with the (new) gutenberg editor this plugin send two notifications. This is because the gutenberg editor has two loops.
This is easy to fix. You need to add the following to the pending_submission_notifications_send_email function:
if ( defined( ‘REST_REQUEST’ ) && REST_REQUEST ) return;
For more information about this see: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/15094
Hope it can help you! For the rest, simple but effective plugin!
]]>Does not activate, I get “The plugin does not have a valid header”
I found online this happens when Activating on the same screen you install from.
In the main plugin list clicking Activate works.
but clearly something is wrong, as I have never had this on on any other plugin ever.
Thanks
]]>Hi.
This Plugin not working since updating to WP 5.3.
Please solve the problem.
Thanks.
I, like several others here, experienced not getting the email when a post is placed pending.
I have been trying to resolve this for ages. Today I discovered that the email address I had put in the settings panel was invalid. I deleted it so the plugin used the default one and the plugin is working fine for me now.
The past posts on this topic are all closed, so I am posting this anew for information. IF you have trouble receiving the email, check the address you have set is valid!
]]>When a user submits a custom post type for review – an e-mail is no longer being sent to notify the admin (or whoever the e-mail is set to). I have tried with different user roles and none work. This was working before but now it is not.
]]>We recently started using the Pending Submission Notification plugin for our website, https://www.indianmomsconnect.com. It worked fine and we were receiving both pending review and approval emails. But from this Tuesday, we started noticing that when the submission is approved by an admin, an email notification is not getting sent.
We checked our email configuration settings and it all looks ok. Not sure what went wrong.
Any help/guidance on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.
]]>Hi
I am using WP Automatic to generate posts from articles and they are set to “Pending” for review. I was hoping your plugin would email me these pending posts to allow them to be published but no email is sent.
The posts are attributed to a user at “Subscriber” level. The email set on your plugin is proven.
Thanks
Mike
FYI: The initial default plugin configuration didn’t work (at least for me). The plugin created a From address from the site URL which was rejected by my email system because the From address included my site’s port number (i.e., wordpress@localhost:8888). (I’m using MAMP and the Postman SMTP plugin going to SendGrid and SendGrid didn’t like that From address). It did like wordpress@localhost, however. So just stripping the port number from the autogenerated From address fixed my problem doing local machine testing. Not sure how often or even if port numbers would show up in a production site. And obviously you should configure a valid From address rather than just using the default one.

how can I solve it?
thanks
]]>Hi – just wanted to ask if you can enhance the email text by any chance.
Right now the body of the email says
Author: name
Title: title
Can you add:
Last Edited by: name
Last Edited Date: date
otherwise I get like 5 identical emails every time my writers edit their posts and don’t know if it’s the writer or the editor who last touched it…
thanks.
]]>Hello, I have contacted the author privately too, however maybe someone knows the answer here, today an author was able to publish without needing moderation, I suspect that the plugis is incompatible with others plugins, fors example Yoast that I have installed after the last working notification of pending post from another author.
Can someone confirm and perhaps provide a solution?

]]>Hi, thanks for this nice and tiny plugin.
Can you please make it translatable?

]]>First of all, I really like this plugin. It helps me a lot.
I have one suggestion for the next update: a checkbox list of all user types. In my website, one of the admins is also posting content and I need notifications for him too.
I’ve removed the limitations in the plugin script myself but I think this will be a nice feature.

Is it possible to notify posts pending review to more than one email address?
Thank you.

]]>Hi,
I am using a plugin (RSS Multi-importer) to auto-post from other blogs in the pending status. However, the new posts does not seem to trigger an email notification. Could you assist?
Thank you,

]]>Hello!
I downloaded the plugin but when I tested it out, I did not in fact receive notifications that new posts were ‘pending review.’
I made sure that the email address in the settings is correct.
Any ideas?
I’m using Chrome.
