After updating to version 2.0, the pCloud WP Backup plugin functions excellently! The backup process is seamless, and it has improved my site’s reliability significantly. Highly recommend giving it another try if you’ve had issues before.

Never experienced something like that. Luckily we got a free trial.
We started to use pcloud for saving backups in combination with the WordPress plugin. Pcloud is worse than not even working at all. 8 times out of ten it is not working at all. And the ninth time it providse corrupted files which look totally normal at first. If you rely on that backup years of work will be wasted.
Import has never worked at all without problems (even though some were minor problems).
The retention of only some backups also doesn’t work. It keeps all files untouched even though set different.
Use everything else. Not pcloud!

I need this plugin as I have a pCloud subscription and lots of storage. But unfortunately the plugin is still very rough and without basic features. If you develop it quickly, I would be very happy to use it and leave a high rating.

Plugin is at very first stages, lots of things missing to make it a decent solution. Backups don’t work and no development/updates for it. Looks abandoned.

This is a great idea, but for big sites with larger pdf files, it is trying to zip the entire site and simply eats up memory then times out. <gwmw style=”display:none;”></gwmw>
I have used updraftsplus backup and it splits larger sites into multiple files for download.
Here is what ends up in my error log after pcloud app times out.
PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 69632 bytes) in /wp-content/plugins/pcloud-wp-backup/Pcloud/Classes/ZipFile/Util/class-filesutil.php on line 134, referer: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp2pcloud_settings<gwmw style=”display:none;”></gwmw>

Normalerweise “0” Stern weil es ja nicht funktioniert. Am liebsten “-1” Stern weil man seine Lebenszeit damit verbringt den Fehler vergeblich bei sich selber zu finden, grausam…

1st site – worked second time I ran it.
2nd site – fails every time
3rd site – worked after a few attempts.
2nd site, error is always the same:
“get_upload_dir_id() – response from the API does not contain the needed info”
Support tells me “As explained the API response is not always accurate so you can simply re-try until the process finds a good API response.”
Sorry, I guess using pCloud for backup storage is not an option for me at this time.

I have 4TB at pcloud. It would be great to backup my 22 websites there. However, this plugin dies with over 60mb websites and you’ll sit waiting forever for upload. I have extended the php.ini values to the max my host will allow, but no luck. I can only hope that pcloud will make this plugin like Updraftplus and batch the uploads to combat timeouts. I want this plugin to work, I will wait… I hope not as long as a timed out backup though. Meantime I’m using Updraftplus.

Of 20 websites I have 2 that are about 60mb. The two which are 60mb upload to pcloud just fine. There my joy ends. The rest just don’t go up even if I change my php.ini file to max execution time etc. Very disappointing to have 4tb of pcloud space just waiting to be filled! This could be the best plugin if it was developed a lot more.

Having a WP instance with a 729MB database and 35 000 files, the plugin has never been able to perform a single backup.
The support team does not reply to my calls for help.

I’m very happy That PCloud directly offers a backup solution for WP so I don’t have to rely on third parties. It’s working good so far and I hope that the plugin is continuing being developed. I have some suggestions:

Well Well Well, I was looking for this kind of plugin and now I found it, this plugin has everything which I want, Data should be saved to your laptop yes via Pcloud drive it automatically goes to your laptop, as well as on Pcloud apps, and it takes the backup of WP plugin with in a few mins, Other popular plugins don’t save the backup like the way Pcloud is doing, Thx again to the team of Pcloud for developing this.

I only tried on one site, but it didn’t work:
Archiving process - COMPLETED!
get_upload_dir_id() - response from the API does not contain the needed info!
== ERROR == Too many failures ( 121/ 120 ), leaving.. !
Maybe pCloud should consider cooperating with Updraft and enable uploading backups from their plugin.

I’ve just come across the pCloud plugin which has got potential to be a great find. However, it’s still pretty patchy for now, and backups fail as often as they succeed; in fact they fail more often than they succeed. Since there’s no proper documentation there’s not much to go on as to why they fail, or what needs to be done to improve results. And the plugin hasn’t been updated in a long time (3 months at the time of writing – this is a review of version 1.0.2) so pCloud don’t seem to be paying much attention to this plugin, even though they give a good profile in their blog.
On the plus side it’s very easy to set up and when they work the backups are ready in minutes.
Once the backing up itself is fixed two other things are required for this to be a major backup option, namely incremental backups and setting a limit for keeping only a specific number of backups on the pCloud drive.
It’s got potential, but it’s not there yet…

Great plugin backs up my website every time with no problems.
