Hi all, looks like you can fix this plugin under php7.0 by changing line 67 in admin.php to:
function start_el( &$output, $page, $depth = 0, $args = array(), $current_page = 0 ) {
Hi, I heard many good things about this plugin.
I was wondering if it still works since it reads that there hasn’t been any updates for a few years?
Hello, I was wondering if there will be any updates soon?
Thanks Mary
It would be great to have a bit more space between the lines when a new higher level starts. It gives it a bit more structure and easier overview.
The options would be easier to find in a separate ‘main menu’ instead of ‘hiding’ under settings. ??
But these are just my preferences. ??
Great job altogether!
I have PC Hide Pages version 1.4.
I noticed that when I upgrade other plugins, this plugin resets/removes all the checkmarks for the pages I’ve hidden.
Any ideas why this happens?
Hi, I installed your plugin and hid some pages. When I type in the following in the Google search window the pages still appear:
site:my domain name
The pages I hid are still showing in the site google search. Am I doing something wrong? Does it take a long time for things to work in Google?
Been having trouble with my Shareaholic plugin showing my unwanted pages in the recommendations. Do you know if your plugin works at keeping my pages truly hidden with the “related posts” part of Shareaholic?
I would like to modify this plugin so that it only hides pages from the main menu that is automatically generated from the page list. I would like to build custom navs with these hidden pages. Any suggestions?
Followed directions after installation. After I checked the appropriate box for the page it no longer shows up but the menu tab for the page is still present on the home page. Please advise how to correct. Thank you.
Yup, I like your plugin and I really needed it. First, one creates and publishes a page. Then one goes to the Hide Pages settings to hide the page. Could there not be a checkbox on the Page editing screen to hide the page when published?
A new client of mine has this plugin installed, (windows based server), when clicking on “settings” I am getting “500 Internal Server Error” – there is a problem with the resource you are looking for and it cannot be displayed (& yes OMG he needs to update wordpress!) also, does this plugin actually block any pages from making changes to it from inside wp admin?
Thank you so very much for your kind & speedy reply . . .

This plugin should be standard in any WP theme–thank you so much.
I’m wondering if it would be possible to do something that would hide the pages under a password protected page, but after a person logs in, show the hidden pages in the tree?
Example:
Parent Page (Password Protected, not hidden)
–Page01 hidden (parent is “Parent Page”)
–page02 hidden (parent is “Parent Page”)
Person uses password to see parent page, which then shows the hidden pages in the menu
PS–your plugin does not link to this page after installed in the theme, and when I click the link to go to your personal page, I get a 404 error.
Thanks again so much!
I’m running the latest WP 3.4 and when I enabled the plugin, checked off the pages I wanted hidden, and saved I was still able to find the page in my site search engine and it was still being listed in my sidebar navigation widget (https://dennishoppe.de/wordpress-plugins/sub-page-navigation).
I really want your plugin to work. It should do exactly what I want, but it doesn’t for me.
Hi Peter,
Really great plugin. Simple and clean, and exactly what I needed. I added one tiny bit of code to the admin area, and thought you might want to do the same. Where it lists the pages, I added a link:
echo ' /> <a href="' . get_page_link( $page->ID ) . '" target="showpage">' . $page->post_title . '
';
That way, if you have hundreds of pages, as I do, and can’t remember what is called what, you can easily click on the name to see what page it is. Otherwise, you’re going back and forth between page editing and your Settings page.
Anyway, thanks again!
David
This plugin would be AWESOME if it had an option to hide pages based upon login status.
An option to ‘Hide pages if not logged in’ tick box, with code to hide the selected pages from the menu unless the user logs in….
