Hi
Users doesn’t get the error message shown on the page if typing a wrong password.
What could be wrong?
[ppwp passwords=”…hidden…” headline=”Log ind” label=”” placeholder=”Password” description=”Indtast password for at hente materiale.” button=”Log ind” error_msg=”Forkert password. Pr?v igen ” whitelisted_roles=”administrator, editor”]
Im experiencing an issue where passwords stop working after a while. However, I can temporarily fix the problem by clearing the cache, which allows visitors to use their passwords again. This is, however, a time-consuming process, and Id prefer for the passwords to continue working without me having to manually reset the system. Has anyone else encountered this issue and perhaps found a solution?
]]>Hi
I’ve been using PPWP for at least 3 years now. Until lately I had zero problem with the plug in.
However in recent weeks I started to receive increased amount of complains from my clients that had trouble login to the protected section of the page.
I went through your trouble shooting page and I do not see anything that would be change on my side that could trigger those problems.
I checked logs and there are several fatal error messages linked to your application. Example below.
Can you please investigate and suggest solution? I use WordPress.com so everything is updated automatically.
2 days ago I added recommended snipped to php (add_filter( ‘ppw_check_md5_format’, ‘__return_false’ );. I though that maybe it started causing fatal error but the fatal errors appear also days before adding the snippet.

]]>I disabled the sitewide password protection in preparation of launching a new site, however, the password screen still surfaces when I visit the website. So, I ended up deactivating and (eventually) completely deleting the plugin, and it is still surfacing. I tried clearing the site cache, my browser cache, and it’s still there. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution? Thanks!
]]>Hi, i have tried to password protect a content section, but the form does not accept my password as the correct password… I have implemented the protection inside a WPBakery Page builder created page. I’ve added the [ppwp passwords= “***”] … [/ppwp] code correctly and the form shows up correctly as intended. But when entering the (correct) password, I get an “Please enter the correct password!” alert … Can you assist me pls? Using the latest version and no caching…

Hi,
I have just installed PPWP for the first time. I have protected one page on my website.
The form looks good in a webbrowser on the computer. But it seems not to be responsive?
When entering on a smartphone, the text is vertical.
Is there some way to fix this?

]]>For your information, since this plugin was updated to 1.9.3 several hours ago, a fatal error occurred on one of my websites; nothing but an error message was displayed on both WordPress login page and the actual website.
See the error message below.

I logged in to the web host control panel and deleted the password-protect-page folder under plugins folder and waited for some seconds. Then the problem was resolved.
I use this plugin on another website, but nothing happened on it, so I suppose it was due to incompatibility with other plugin, but not really sure.
No further action is required since the problem was resolved by uninstalling (deleting) the plugin, but let me know if you need further information. By the way, I will soon uninstall this plugin on the other website just in case.

I look forward to hearing from you.

]]>Dear Sir / Dear Madame,
I finally found a plugin that would “theoretically” fulfill my needs with the Mozda Theme. Right now the plugins I bought are useless.
I use the PPWP Lite Vers. 1.9.2 & PPWP Pro Vers. 1.4.6 & PPWP Smart Restriction 1.1.3 and three other extensions. After all the search setting it up, reading the articles, weeks of preparation.. the most important part “Expiration after first use / usage” is not showing. There’s only the “Expiration after … days” field and the up and down arrow just change the number.
So the drop-down to choose the mode is missing. For Master, PCP etc.
Also in the overview for passwords that little symbol is missing.
Within the changelog this option is shown as the last modification to the plugin.
?? It was hours of work, a lots of trial and error with a lot of plugins and now on the last 2%.. this.
Could you kindly help me and tell me how I can “enable” the mode?

I’d like to be able to use a shortcode with the same functionality. Is that possible?

]]>Hi,
I am having an issue with the partial content protection not displaying content when the correct password is entered. If an incorrect password is entered the “wrong password” message is displayed, however if the correct password is entered there is no change.
This error occurs when using Safari or Chrome in incognito mode, however there is no issue with Chrome standard browsing.
The entire page is also protected – there have been no issues with the full page protection in any browsers I have tried.
The site is built using Elementor and the Hello theme. The page is the default template. I have inserted a partial content protection using both the Elementor builder and the shortcode, however both produce the same behavior.

partial content password: Anika
