I have installs active on two community organisation sites and I am worried about the safety now. How can i export the data from the plugin and change to another page view counter?

As there is no explanation for plugin removal I am concerned to buy the premium version. Is there something you can tell to make the decicion?

We just started using your plug-in, and I don’t see a way of not counting bots/crawlers who are pinging the site.

Really, we are only interest in counting real page views from real people who are accessing the site.

Can I filter out bots/crawlers from the count?

I have installed this plugin and it works fine that it logs the visits to the page – I am wondering is there a way to filter by date range using this plugin?

Is this available in the free version or do I need to upgrade to the PRO version for that?

i do enjoy the product. but my domain might not be what it currently is for life.

if I take down my page and put up a new one, can I just change to that one? Would the lifetime membership still apply to the new page? Can this be changed in settings somehow or am I stuck with whatever domain I choose when I pay?

When you delete the history, you get an error log file created. This is because of an error in:

/admin/class-page-visit-counter-admin.php

Line 634 has the wp database prefix included, which gives a double prefix, causing the error:

$reset_result_referer = $wpdb->query( "TRUNCATE TABLE {$wpdb->prefix}wp_page_visit_referer" );

It should be:

$reset_result_referer = $wpdb->query( "TRUNCATE TABLE {$wpdb->prefix}page_visit_referer" );

This plugin seems to have a problem with Elementor. To be clear I am running Elementor version 2.9.2 and not any 3 version. Have you had any feed back from Elementor users?

When a new post is created, I would like the “display today visits” to be OFF by default, where overall page count remains defaulted to ON (no change).

I really like your counter, but only one options which I can’t find it’s start value for the counter. For example I wish to start page with start value 10k visits. Where to configure it ?

All the public listing of post and editing is extremely slow. My articles hits counts are more then few thousands.

from your plugin I can see there is an option from settings to exclude IPs. As we need to exclude a lot of IPs as u can see in my given video, do your plugin allows me to exclude unlimited IPs from there?

is there any other solution u know to exclude all bots IPs automatically more quickly?

I applied the latest update & my page view numbers all went back to zero. I rolled back to the previous version and all of the page view numbers reappeared. Does anybody know how I can update the plugin to avoid losing my viewing figures?

Is it possible to center the output?

I have a brands name in my sidebar now. This plugin does not put its settings under the regular settings menu but creates a new branded menu item. Which is annoying and bad practice. No one wants brands names in the backend side menu! ??

I recently installed this counter for my customer, and he wondered if there is a possibility to initially increment the counter manually to show visitors from the previous site. If so, how?

Ex: Total Website: 85232
(actually is 2).

So lately I have had some issues when sharing my page on facebook. I finally found the culprit: Page Visit Counter. When activated this plugin makes the Facebook debug tool show these errors:

Curl error: 28 (OPERATION_TIMEOUTED)

The following required properties are missing: og:url, og:type, og:title, og:image, og:description, fb:app_id

When I deactivate the plugin I only get a Facebook App ID error but atleast I can share my page. When the plugin is activated I do not get any image in my link preview and sometimes the description does not show aswell.

Hi,
I installed the free version of this plugin a week ago and I am using it just to display some statistic when logged to backend.
I don’t understand what exactly mean the numbers in the Website Summary section, under the Visitors column. In my case, after 1 week from the installation, for Today I have 4 visitors, for Yesterday I have 3 and for the rest of the rows number 4. Maybe I don’t fully understand what a web visitor means… doesn’t mean some distinct IP address of a person who is surfing my website for a certain period of time? The pages and posts have thousands of visits but only a few visitors?
I noticed the same thing in a video presentation of Dotstore Page Visit Counter, there are only a few visitors but many visits.
So, what shows this Visitor column in the Website Summary section?

How can you tell whether it was a customer on the page or whether it was a bot crawling the page?
Is there any way of knowing if the visitor is “real”?
