Hi,
I activated the plug-in and it did a good job resizing all existing original pictures. However, there is one problem: The thumbnail versions of the pictures (e.g. Media Library in back end or preview pictures in front end) are shown with width=”1px” and height=”1px”, which can be seen in the source code. That does only happen where the picture was resized with the tool.
Has this been experienced before? Many thanks for anything that helps.
Ben
]]>I’m essentially looking for a tool that can recompress existing images on the server that might have been uploaded at 81-100% JPEG quality. However, not all images were uploaded that way and if they’re already at 60% I don’t want them resaved at 80%.
Does this plugin do anything to make sure it’s not actually making a new original that is larger than the original? (looking at the code I think not so I thought I’d at least confirm).

The image resize was unsuccessful for the following reason: memory allocation failed `my_file_path/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/4000×2300-1024×588.gif’ @ error/gif.c/WriteGIFImage/1609. Please try again
Please help me figure this out. I really need a fix for these giant images that clients are uploading….fast. ??

We do not upload via the media library.
Will your plugin still take affect, or is it limited to only uploads done by hand via the Media library.
Thanks!
