Thank you very much for writing this plugin.
I have a woocommerce shop with about 50 products and 60+ variations per product. Managing the files in year/month folders very cumbersome.
With your plugin, I was able to replicate the product category structure + the sku name, which makes finding related media a breeze.

I was able to organize my theme demo files, audio, and uploaded files all with a few mouse clicks. Some bad review because they didn’t even try. It’s laid out pretty logicly I thought and VERY powerful plugin!

This one doesn’t even detect the folders already done before. So there’s nothing much i can do with it… Or there’s a way to make them appear i haven’t spotted but the plugin is too confusing for that… Or it’s a paid feature again…

This does exactly what I want. I like being able to have the physical files structured and match inside WordPress without having to do both separately. I like that once set-up, it is a simple extension to the media library for managing rather than a whole new interface.
My only suggestion would be to make it easier to select the folder you want when uploading files anywhere. Maybe integrating what this plugin in the wordpress repository does, “custom upload folder” so that you have a dropdown selection for the folder in the uploads box or pop-up.
But overall, great plugin that does exactly what it needs to cover the basics of managing the physical media files inside WordPress.

If it takes me more than 10 minutes to learn it, then I don’t want it.

I just needed a seperate media folder, but all this plugin gave me was errors that I am using the same folder, as well as displaying loads unrelated folders from my file manager. Way too difficult to use, if it even works at all.
Sorry!

Literally media are my research software for a whole week to find them. I have installed and tested dozens of plugins. I do not choose the most stable, the most beautiful. thank you very very very much. Simply great.

A very useful plugin! It fixes the awful organization of the standard media library by allowing you to create directories inside the “upload” directory and distribute the uploaded files among this directories.
This code should be integrated into the WordPress core!

Great plugin that fills a need that should be native functionality in WordPress this plugin makes creating your own folders to store image files easy.
Storing images in folders using the date is not useful for everyone, equally if you disable that your stuck with uploading all the images into a single folder which is crap especially if you have shit loads of images.
Trawling through a morass of images is not efficient, but if you can create your own folders and separate the images it makes finding them later a lot easier.
I have used this plugin from the first version and it does what is required and it is integrated properly into the way WordPress works so as someone else stated it does seem like it is native to WordPress and not a plugin.

Everything in this plugin was done in so WordPress – way, so it integrates in media library, after a while using it, you will forget it is a separate plugin.
My only objection goes to some illogical way things work – when creating a new folder you must first enter a name of the folder and then press “save settings”, which is not most logical option from UX/UI (button beside labeled “create folder”) would be better, since creating folder is not a setting. Also, upload folder could be set through settings, but on the top admin bar, upload folder is not synchronised with this. If those things would be resolved, I would give it a five stars, for a free plugin it does the job very well!

There are a number of plugins of the type that virtually categorize media, but there are not many that can physically change the upload folder for each image to a folder corresponding to the category.
However, this plugin had the functionality I was looking for the most out of the few I tried with them. Because once I created the category hierarchy manually, all I had to do was set the upload folder on the screen.
It can be also change the image storage folder after the fact, which is very nice.
If possible, I would be most happy if the upload folder could be set in the media upload screen.
I look forward to future developments.
