I’m running v2.2 of your plugin and have noticed a continual error appearing in error log file as follows:

Any idea what might be causing this and how I might rectify.

Also, do you intend ever updating this plugin.? Be honest.

Attempting to strip back the admin interface for a client, but remove_menu_page() (in this case remove_menu_page(admin.php?page=custompostorder)) doesn’t remove the menu items. Any ideas?

I have Taxonomy turned on in the plug in setting and have dragged my categories to the order I wish but it does not keep, when I go back in it is reset to the original order. I have tried clicking apply, I have tried just leaving the page, I have tried everything. How do you get it to stay.

Plugin returns invalid argument error on activation

I use a plugin Directory Listing and created a form field that is displayed by this code:

The plugin creates a directory with a custom post type but I want to use it as an event list calendar. I want to display the excerpts and full listings in ascending order, meaning what’s up next followed by events happening later on future dates progressing on down the page. Is there a way to do this with your plugin, or can you recommend something that will do this? Thanks.

WARNING! Do not use the custom post order plugin if you have custom metadata saved for your posts using custom fields. After reordering with this plugin ALL custom meta data for the posts you reordered will be LOST!

Drew, please provide a fix asap! This is a massive problem which could have potentially disastrous effects for users with a lot of custom meta data on their sites.

I don’t think the installer works properly because after activating the plugin no options were given, as described in the plugins description (drag and drop etc) to actually setup any custom orders…

Running 3.2.1 multi-site. I’ve ordered my posts via the Post Order menu, doing: Save order > Save settings and my posts remain in their original order. No errors thrown.

it would be one of the most useful plugins, if it could sort up the pages, too (and what more, probably the only one functional under WP3.2.1, I have tried probably all of them recently – under the default theme, other plugins disabled..)

If you’re going to down-rate my plugin or claim that it is broken, be sure that you leave a message to me personally (contact info at drewgourley.com) or via these topics. My plugin works and is better than the others available, if it does not work for you, it is most likely do to a conflict which I cannot test for. Therefore, you must let me know how yours is breaking so I can go about fixing it for you.
