]]>Make 1000% (OK, just very) certain that you haven’t copied a spurious space in any of the three PayPal API credential bits (the user, the password and the signature) because just one tiny preceding or trailing space will bring the display of the Olimometer to a screetching halt.
It happened to me: I went into the PayPal API credentials page, then copied and pasted the values into Olimometer and… Nothing. The thermometer was shown but no advancing of the thermometer, anytime a donation was made. Maddening. Until I decided to carefully check and delete any space. Boom – problem solved.
So there. Leave. No. Space. Behind.
Awesome plugin.

]]>After setting up the widget, I found that the results its pulling from our PayPal account is the entire total of the PayPal account balance and not the specific “button” for this donation campaign. Is there a way to make the amounts specific only to the button in use?
]]>Hi there,
I have the olimometer enabled on my website. However, I’ve updated the amount a number of times in the settings for the plugin but it is not updating on the website.
Please can you advise why this might be the case?
If there’s a problem with the plugin, I would like to remove it from my website as it’s advertising the amount raised for a charitable cause and currently is misleading and not representative of the total we actually raised.
Here is the link to my website – https://www.kosrefugeechristmasappeal.com/about-this-campaign/
The amount on the olimometer should say £2822,98 rather than £1,645.
Would really appreciate any help you can give me.
Many thanks,
Olivia
When reporting the amount in the linked PayPal account, Olimometer doesn’t account for the fee that PayPal deducts from the donations.

]]>Hi,
We are using this plugin from quite sometime but now it is not showing the meter graphic on frontend.
It will be great if you can help.
Best Regards,
Naveen
Hey Olimometer,
My website uses Olimometer 2.55 on several pages to display donation totals. I have recently noticed that image of the meter seems to be cached and thus appears to be incorrect unless I force a refresh of the page – this is causing a bit of confusion amongst our users.
As an example, click on the following page…
https://r4wh.org/team-r4wh/2016-riders/kyle-jamison/
Then click on this one…
https://r4wh.org/team-r4wh/2016-riders/ariel-kanevsky/
In all likelihood, the amount raised on Ariel’s page is identical to the amount raised on Kyle’s page. Refreshing Ariel’s page changes the amount to the true value.
As a matter of full disclosure, I edited update_progress()
in olimometer-class.php
to calculate custom total to display, however this caching issue seems to have cropped up recently, long after I made my edits.
It worked fine before. But now I upgraded to 4.4 and the image doesn’t show anymore. The GD extension works. I’ve reinstalled it but that doesn’t help. I have a different version of wp on another site and there the plugin does still work so I really think it is because of the wp upgrade. Could you please help.
]]>I am running into the same problem that another user had an issue with.
When I go to create a new meter, it directs me to a page saying “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
Could you please help me troubleshoot through this? Thanks a lot!
]]>Currently, I’m using a shortcode to update the fundraising progress toward our campaign goal:
TOTAL DONATIONS TO DATE:
$41,658
as of November 6, 2015
However, I wondered if there was an Olimometer setting or other shortcode I could use with the Olimometer that update the “last updated” date when I update the Olimometer settings. A shortcode for the last page update will not work, as I would still have to manually access and update the page for that to trigger. It would be so much easier to be able to use the Olimometer widget on the WP dashboard to make the update, and then know that the date the Olimometer was last updated would update dynamically.
Thanks!
Michael
I cannot get to see the skin progress barto show on the donation page, it only shows the amount

]]>I have an Olimometer running on a site, and it has been working fine up until now. The total raised has been being updated manually and displaying. But now when a new total is entered, it no longer updates the Olimometer with the figure.
I tried creating a new olimometer to replace it with, but that didn’t work because the format we want – thin blue progress – didn’t show, instead it kept with the default thermometer.
I also tried disabling all other plugins to see if there might be a conflict, but it made no difference.
Is this a known bug, perhaps caused by recent WP updates. Is there a solution or should I find another plugin?
Thanks for your help.

trying to figure out why the image (target amount) is getting cropped at https://fundabatch.brmworld.org/
Also how do I get the number format to be of the kind 10,00,000

]]>FYI – I have been consistently having problems with my server crashing and load spiking up to 100 at worst. After in depth troubleshooting today, I found out that it was Olimometer which was somehow causing a ‘fork bomb’ via PHP. After disabling Olimometer, the problems went away. Something you really need to take a look into.
]]>I’ve created an Olimometer Campaign, set the Paypal information, played with a few settings, then saved it and posted the following code into a new post:
[olimometer id=3]
When I view the post, all I see is a blank page that has the words “Olimometer 2.52”, which just links to the same post. I’ve tried linking to the default “campaigns”, like id=1 and id=2, but I get the same results.
Here is my page – https://www.galacticbattles.net/new/?p=2958
The only thing I can think of, is that I am possibly using the wrong version of WordPress (WordPress 4.0.1)
Any ideas?
]]>Our goal is $13,000. I’ve tried all of the money formats trying to get the $13,000 to display and nothing works. The amount either shows as $13.00 or $13
How come? what should I do to correct this?
Thank you.
My WordPress version says 3.9.3
I didn’t add the link to my site because I haven’t put the thermometer up yet. Want it correct before I do.
