I’ve discovered potential security issues in the plugin and I’m wondering what would be the best way to report it to you so that it may be fixed.
]]>The plugin’s admin page is only visible for Super Admins, not Admins on multi-site installs. Because this plugin seems to be abandonware, here’s the fix:
In the file officers_directory.php, look for two instances of the text ‘edit_users’ (including quotes) and replace with ‘manage_options’. I haven’t been able to test this (permissions issues of my own on a shared server) but I’m reasonably sure it should work.
]]>Are there still plans for Officers Directory 2.0? I really like this plugin and have suggestions for enhancements.
]]>I setup 11 groups with officers in them. The last few groups will not display in the correct order. I have tried deleting an reentering but nothing works. I can reorder in the manager, but when they display they are out of order. I have listed each type that I want displayed in the order I want them displayed, but they are still out of order.
]]>Is there a way to automatically not show officers in the contact form if there is no email on file?
]]>Officers that are entered does not show up on the management page or the shortcode.
]]>After loading a new position category, all positions disappear with no obvious way to get them back. Adding a position doesn’t work, either.
]]>Hi, I was looking forward to this plugin, but I can’t make it work. I’ve installed it, but the only screen available is the “Manage Directory of Officers” that allows me to create the officer titles/positions. I cannot find any other screen or data entry point that allows me to input the names and information of the Board members. I’ve created the two WP pages for contact and list, and installed Captcha, but I cannot find any place to enter Directors information. Help please?
best,
Brian Kelley
First off, apologies for not touching this plugin since last August. I’ve been busy with schoolwork since then.
I recognize that this plugin in its current state is very limited and causes a number of conflicts in certain situations, and so I am planning to start work on a complete rewrite of the plugin within the next week or two. If you have any comments or suggestions for how this plugin could be improved, please let me know.
]]>Is there a way to have the contact form display the officers’ names first, and then their titles?
]]>Hey, are there any plans to somehow add pictures to this plugin? I think that’d be a killer feature.
]]>Is it possible to export the list of officers already loaded in so that I can import it to another site?
]]>When you send an email via this form if you’ve used apostrophes and/or quotation marks, in the message body text area, then the recipient email has forward slashes in front of the apostrophes and quotation marks.
Examples:
I’m becomes I\’m
and
“Information Management” becomes \”Information Managment\”
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide to fix this issue.

I am receiving a javascript error of “handleClick is not defined” when I have the descriptions set to true and I try to click the dropdown to display the description of a person. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Does anyone know if the developer of this plugin offers support, even if it costs? There are many other things I would like to learn about this plugin, for example, removing the “type” name from the list (I want them organized by type, but I do not want the type name to be displayed on the page). Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions, thank you.
]]>This is a great idea and it looks slick, but
how can I input 3 (=more than 2) general Advisors? Is that at all possible? It seems that you can’t have duplicate Position Names.
Would I need to add them each with a different Position Name, like so:
Advisors
Advisor1 John Albertson
Advisor2 Albert Johnston
Advisor3 Al Bertson
It looks cleaner to me like this:
Advisors
Advisor John Albertson
Advisor Albert Johnston
Advisor Al Bertson
(or even drop the Advisor and just list the names)
I told it to add 6 officers, added all the info, but it only added the 1st. I tried again, same result — just one officer total. I tried adding the 2nd individually (vs in batch, as before). It did not add that person.
All 3 times I received the message that the officers were added successfully.
]]>I could not get the plugin to load when i dropped it to the mu-plugins folder.
When i added it to the plugins folder i could activate it for the network. but i can not edit items, the check boxes are missing.
There is a couple of small bugs, im going to see if i can fix it real fast
