Hello Evan and congratulations on the plugin.
I would like to know if it is possible to limit the height of the iframe for embedded videos, since they are very high, much more than the limit of the video itself.
I have tried using:
Iframe {
???? Max-height: 410px;
}
But obviously it affects all the videos, even those of the normal inputs.
Is there a way to tell the size of the iframe and only affect the videos inserted in the comments?
Thanks and regards.
Hi, I’m reall yglad I found your plugin.
But when the youtubelink is not standalone it apears as a clickable link.
is it possible to customize it that way that text before the link is above the video and text after the link comes under the video?
Thanks in advance
Hi Evan,
Fantastic plugin, thank you!
I am trying to embed an instragram video. It works when the link is pasted into the page body but not when pasted into a comment.
It returns a shortcode [video src="https://scontent-b.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xaf1/t50.2886-16/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.mp4" /]
Any thoughts?
Just what the subject says: YouTube URL’s come through as links, not embeds. Any idea what’s up? Is it the ajax post updates?
After this morning’s update, nothing works anymore for all videos embedded in comments.
Hi
I have a weird problem
When i embed a soundcloud or mixcloud for example, the first time the page is refreshed it doest show the player or element. The iframe code only has the basic html structure like

But the second time i reload the page, the elements are showed correctly.
I dont know if this is a wordpress / plugin or wathever problem or a issue from soundcloud or the service wich im ebeding
any idea?
Hi there. All worked fine until I’ve added ajax comment loading plugin. After that all youtube links are youtube links and show like this.
They don’t work?
This is how the links look now in my source code
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
Thanks for taking the time!
I really really need to use them both.
Can I private msg you site details? It’s not quite live.
This is a great plugin. I am currently using embedly (please let me know if there is a better plugin to allow embedded images) to embed images from non-oembed sites and was wondering if there was a way to get URLs that are not on the oembed list to embed in the comments?
I’ve got an issue with the plugin it works well with the youtube link but it doens’t work with twitter, it just shows a link !
Any ideas on what would be required to load videos as thumbnails and load flash after click?
I haven’t looked under the hood yet, but that’s the direction I am going. I’ll also make the videos open in a modal window.
My youtube in the comments is showing up as a link only? It’s working correctly for posts.
Hey Evan,
First of all, I want to say that it’s a pretty cool plugin that you created here. I love plugins that work out of the box and have no settings panel.
In this case, I think adding a small field under Settings > Media for Maximum Comments Embed size would be very helpful.
The main reason is because most sites use oEmbeds to embed items in the post thus making it full post width. Comments content area usually have less width to begin with. Then you add threading on top of it. This breaks the layout.
Hope you will consider that request. Thanks ??
