Is this even an active plugin anymore? The newest WP updates have rendered this useless. The arrows and red dots do not appear on drafts anymore. Help?
Hello,
I can’t activate this plugin, any idea why? I clicked activate 10 times and nothing. Everything is updated, restarted, deleted and redownloaded, cleared cache… nothing. Thanks!
EDIT:it randomly started working. but it’s not working properly now.I’ve used it before and it was fine. Now, I click the green to make it red. When I refresh the post thinking it’s nofollow, its back to green like I never touched it.
thanks
I just updated my plugins, and this little gem showed up when I tried to go to my site.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/content/48/13253348/html/wp-content/plugins/nofollowr/nofollowr.php on line 61
I was able to restore via FTP, so I just updated all but Nofollowr, and everything seems to be working. Should I just uninstall the plugin, or is there an easy fix for this?
Thank you in advance.
Hi, any way to add manually follow for some external links?
The following code generated by Followr plugin fails W3C code validation:

It is missing a closing “/>”.
Is there some reason why it’s written this way? How can I fix it in my code? Will you fix it in the next version?
Thanks, Tony
It shows the green check mark, and when I click it it changes to the orange circle. However if I refresh the page its back to a green check. Reviewing the post shows that nofollow was not added.
Thanks for an awesome plug-in please test with 3.8.1!
Chris
I just uploaded the latest version of NoFollowr plugin and it’s doesn’t seem to be working. I’m logged in as the admin and yet I don’t see any green checkmarks beside the links in my posts. Is there a compatibility issue with other plugins or the latest version of WordPress? Thanks. This plugin looks very handy and I’d love to use it.
Since I’ve updated to the newest WP version (3.8) I’ve noticed that the little red/green circles that used to be there to indicate follow or nofollow have since disappeared.
Will you be updating the plugin soon so I can use it again? Otherwise having it on my site is pointless.
Thanks!
Could this plugin be automatically nofollowing all links on your site? It seems to be doing it on mine, only I just now found out. Anyone else?
I have installed the latest version of nofollower on WordPress 3.6.1 and i am using visual composer too. When i make the links nofollow using this plugin, i see the red icon which is the sign on nofollow link. But when i refresh the page, the link is still dofollow!. Please help me.
Hi there, NoFollowr was working great up until a month ago or so when I started noticing an error message. When I try to make a link “no follow” I get this error message
“Apologies, but something seems to be amiss. Your link is probably unaltered.”
How do I fix this? This is really annoying. If this plugin is not going to continue to work properly I am sorry but I will have to find another one that does.
Anyone else having this problem still? I noticed in some support threads that I am not the only one who has experience this. Why has there been no fix with the recent updates????
Hi there Joel,
The plugin has not worked since I updated to the newest version of WordPress. The issue is that you no longer see the X or the Check Mark to make the link follow or nofollow. The link now just appears like a link in admin mode. Which means that I will have to now manually add the code. I don’t know what to do at this point because I have hundreds of links that I have relied on your plugin for. Please help!
Im using the plug in on two blogs. One foxy child theme on thesis and the other is fremedy. The one site that has foxy child theme runs the plug in fine, the ticks show up next to the links. However, the site with fremedy, none of the links have ticks next to them. I have deactivated all the plug ins and that made the ticks show up. I then tried to match all the active plug ins to the foxy child theme, still no luck same thing. Is it a plug in issue on fremedy or what?
Thanks
Brett
the icon does not appear in a latest version. I wait for updates.
I just moved my site to a new shared host in the same environment as before. Also upgraded to 3.4.2 of WP. Now it has stopped working. Green ticks and red x’s still appear, but when I click on them I get an error message “Apologies, but something seems to be amiss. Your link is probably unaltered”. It was working great before I did these two things. Any idea what might cause this to happen? Permissions issues?
I tried uninstalling and deleting the plugin, then downloading and reinstalling it again, but no joy. The only related plugin I use is Broken Link Checker but it’s been there all the time. No caching plugin in use at the moment.
Hi,
First of all, thank you for this great plugin. I’m using also Better WordPress Minify plugin in my site but it’s conflicting with NoFollowr (green and red buttons disappeared). I need to know Nofollowr script handle for exclude from Bw-minify plugin settings.
Thanks,
Hakan Er
I see the check marks just fine, but when I click on the check mark to make it no follow I get a message stating: Apologies, but something seems to be amiss. Your link is probably unaltered.
I have deactivated several other plugins, including another no follow plugin which I thought may be interfering but still not working. I’d love to get this to work if there are more suggestions!
Hello,
The nofollowr plugin works. For those that say it does not work, go back and carefully read the instructions and I think you will see it does exactly what is is designed to do.
Thanks,
Curtis Carpenter
After I activated the plugin I saw nothing on any link through out the site.
its not working . wheni i click on it i get ” Apologies, but something seems to be amiss. Your link is probably unaltered. ”
Hi there and thank you for a very useful plugin.
Still, after activating it works on posts but NO TICK shows up on posts having the very same external links displayed on front page.
Is this normal?
One more question? If it is to be activated sitewide will links to other blogs belonging to the same network be treated as external links?
Thanx again
