After installing a plugin that I know was removed from the WordPress plugin directory, then installing/activating your No Longer In Directory plugin, your checker is not reporting that known plugin.
Is there some time delay before it picks it up or is it an instant detection?
]]>Hi,
I just noticed an plugin, which I installed years ago, which is obviously not in directory anymore:
“Online Backup for WordPress”, from “Backup Technology”.
Plugin-site-URL was:
https://www.backup-technology.com/free-wordpress-backup/
I think, they deleted the plugin. The Plugin has stopped working, it cant connect to their server.
Here a screenshot from my plugin-list:

Hi,
Great plugin to handle one of WordPress biggest security issues these days, thanks!
I might have a UX improvement:
Why not show your information in the default, native plugin tab of WordPress (/wp-admin/plugins.php)? This avoids the need to visit your additional “No longer in in Directory” page, which I never visit unless I think of it. I DO regularly visit WordPress native plugin page. Like this:
You could add more details to the installed plugins below, like how long ago the latest update was or that is no longer in directory.
Even more awesome would be a Dashboard widget, this way you’ll get these security issues right in your face when you log in WordPress!
I hope my suggestions are of use, thanks!
]]>Great idea for a plugin and very useful as is. Thanks for the work.
Would you consider adding an email notification to the primary admin or others when a plugin is found to be removed or outdated?
Thanks!
]]>Hello.
Just installed : it tells me that none of the plugins installed are in the WP directory? Even this one ? o.O
]]>Hello i’m Julio from SecuPress.
Since SecuPress has been release yesterday, could you remove it from the list please?
Thank you!
]]>How about letting the user choose X number of days as the number defined by ‘outdated plugin’? (instead of hard coded as 2 years)

]]>Hi,
Do you know of any plugin conflicts with “No Longer”? I’ve used it on a number of sites with no problem but have just run into a site where, when I click on “No Longer in Directory” in the WP Admin sidebar, the WP “dashboard” area is blank… just white. (not to confused with the “White Screen of Death”)
If I find the problem myself, I’ll report it back here.
Thanks!

Hello i was wondering where does this list came from?
I hope you don’t check 40k plugins manually x)
Thank you to share your secret/source.
]]>current German translation ‘Es befinden sich keine installierten Plugins im Plugin-Verzeichnis von www.remarpro.com.’ is wrong or at least misleading.
correct would be:
‘Installierte Plugins welche im Plugin-Verzeichnis von www.remarpro.com nicht mehr verfügbar sind:’
It might be useful to a lot of us if you also had a second list below “no longer in directory” for “not updated in over two years.”
]]>The first post in the forum about this plugin has confused me.
My experience over the past 6 weeks is that the plugin ONLY checks when manually invoked.
If that is correct, I would earnestly hope for a feature addition that would allow 1) the check to run when admin logs into the dashboard or 2.) (I understand that this one is asking a lot, so okay…) make it run on a cron with an e-mail alert when a plugin disappears from the directory.
For me, finding this plugin was very important because I have been burned once in the past with a plugin that was pulled from WP due to a vulnerability. But with my site very static I don’t log in sometimes for a couple of months. Getting an e-mail note would be a great service. But thank you White Fir Design for creating it just as it is.

]]>Hi, plugin author
Nice plugin!
But I would like to run the check manually.
Could you add a setting option to select the one with “Run the check automatically” or “Run the check manually”?
