I’m using WP 3.9 and have the most up-to-date version of the Nivo Slider Light plugin.
It seems to work fine on my live site, but on my local site (using MAMP) the plugin is causing issues with logging in and out of my site. I can’t log in, and if i am already logged in, and the reinstall the slider, when i log out i get the blank white screen.
I am using many plugins, and by process of elimination i discovered it is this plugin that is causing these issues. Very odd. I’m glad it still seems to work OK on the live site, but it seems i will have to find an alternative slider for the longer-term.
]]>Hi there,
I changed my controls so that they are right-aligned with the following CSS:
.nivo-controlNav {
text-align: right;
}
but now i see the numbers appearing as well as the ‘dots’, and haven’t succesfully figured out how they appeared or what to change to hide them again.
Can anyone help me out? thanks so much!

Is there any way to embed a video into this slider? A local video file, not a youtube video? Thanks in advance!
]]>Hi,
How can i hide the caption block, it displays a horizontal black element – tried in CSS but it has a rule in the javascript that displays the element as block – eventhough I have no captions it displays.
Thanks

Awesome plugin!
Helped me to get around a few features that the education server (where my site is hosted) does not allow. Mainly using the media gallery in wordpress to upload images – I have to do everything via FTP. So many cool native features of WP themes do not work for me.
However, I have noticed other sliders that resize the images when the web page is loaded on different sized resolutions. Is that possible with this slider plugin. I attempted to do it manually by applying css to the img tag (img {max-width: 100%;} ) but this doesn’t seem to work at all – not surprisingly!
It’s just that I can optimise the slider for only one screen resolution instead of targeting multiple popular screen resolutions.
Thanks
]]>how i can change the transition effect on this plugin?
the default is ‘fade’ and i want make it ‘sliceDownRight’
Thank You

Please help me.
Hi, I’m using Nivo Slide with a theme that has a built in slider – it’s called The Glamour –
https://jesusramboexplosion.com/?page_id=368
This is the page where the slider is being tested. the bizarre thing is that sometimes the images will show up, sometimes they won’t.
I’ve spent HOURS on the support forums, but apparently there is anyone actually answering questions, just a lot of people listing issues.
I’m using Firefox and Safari to test and it works in neither browser.
Thanks,
Eddie Renz
Hi, is there a way to the plugin not autostart when the page is loaded?
static images, sliding only on user command
