We just updated to the latest WordPress and the theme I’m using with built-in Nivo Slider. For whatever reason, the images in the slide show now look strange until it rotates through and is then replaced with the full image.
I am assuming that Nivo Slider is not showing the full image until all images are fully loaded.
I am looking at the jQuery Nivo Slider.js file and not seeing a way to force the image to show before it moves to the next. Does anyone know how to do this?

]]>Since an upgrade to 3.9 all the transitions in the slider (at least the ones I’ve tested, eg boxRainReverse , sliceDownRight flicker and don’t happen smoothly.

when i set the “Number of slices” to “2” the Slide shows all the pictures of category=portfolio.
It doesent matter wich numer i set as “Numbers of slices” the Slide shows all pics of that category.
How can i set the number of pictures that are shown with the Nivo Slider?

Anyone have any idea how to add some code so the plugin will STOP after the last slide and stay on that slide?

When the slider changes one picture to other, sometimes it scrolls through without changing any picture and it’s just a background. And I see this only in Chrome (in IE and Firefox all is ok).
I use 851×375 resolution, slide transition speed: 1500, pause time between the transitions: 3000.
Maybe there is some optimisation code in this case.

When I try to insert an image to add to the slider, almost every image gives me the following error:
Sorry. Only JPG, GIF and PNG formats are supported
But all of my files are either JPGs or PNGs! How can I work around this? Thank you.

]]>Initially I thought it was a browser cache issue, but after 5 tries of the uber-refresh “CTL-F5” it still has not gone away.
I had a slide for a poetry event that has been “retired” from the top segment of Nivo Slider for WordPress but it still shows up in some browsers on computers other than mine.
I hesitate deleting that slide from the plug-in entirely because I recall doing just that many months ago when I had this same issue: it caused the slide show on the home page to have a blank white slide that did not resolve. Any ideas???
