This is not on. You can’t share an update which doesn’t work. And I didn’t even backup my site before I updated because I trusted you. Now I am sitting with an Nginx helper that doesn’t help. How does that work out for you ?

Followed any guide to install the module on nginx. The purge won’t work and won’t show Log properly for misfunction.
DOT NOT DELETE NGINX, it is better to add dynamic module instead.

Awesome plugin. Just a note, the plugin breaks some other components. The timestamp added to the end of the page breaks Mailster’s newsletter subscription, and some payment gateways that reply on a certain response sent back on a query. This is the offending line :

Nginx helper does not natively work with Nginx, you must add their repr [watch for the error] then uninstall your Nginx and install theirs. You’re a fool if you do it.

This used to be a great plugin. But looks like it is almost a dead project now. Support threads go unanswered. This plugin no longer purges cache on new post/post and comment updates. Nothing happening in github “https://github.com/rtCamp/nginx-helper” either in last 7 months or so. Please take a call. Please declare this as a dead project if no further development is happening.

I used to set up my own vhosts and mess with my nginx config files, trying to find the most perfectly tuned settings for the sites on my server, but I then came to my senses and started using Easy Engine to set up my sites, and I could not be happier.
This nginx helper gets installed on all of my sites. Works great for clearing the cache, and for running all the things in the background that I don’t completely understand. Keeps my sites running snappily so I can focus on the actual site development.

An absolute must when aspiring to use fastcgi cache. Read up on the excellent how-to’s on https://rtcamp.com/wordpress-nginx/tutorials/ and get started relatively fast on Nginx and fastcgi cache.

thanks for a nice helper for clearing fcgi cache,
even if clearing the cache completely doesnt work in all environments,
doing it require php to be ran user same uid as nginx and not chrooted.
In chrooted and uid-separated environment its not possible to flush the cache
