Problem after the last NGG update…

Hello,
I want to use the widget without a title, but the space above the widget does not disappear when I remove the title wasting a lot of vertical space. Can you either automatically remove the space if no text is entered, or add a checkbox to the widget to not display the title? Those are the two solutions many other widget s choose.

A couple of days ago I included NextGen Widget onto the right & left side bar of my theme (Parabola), it was working great, I set one side to display recent images from my galleries, the other random).

This was the first time I had ever added any widgets at all to my WordPress site, so decided to experiment with a few other different widgets, but decided the NextGen looked best.

I deleted the others and returned to NextGen but have been having problems since. I have found that a couple of images show and, instead of others only their names appear, also one image keeps appearing that I have completely deleted from my gallery & website.

Wondering if it was simply a bug I have completely deleted all my galleries and uploaded them again, first importing them as 50% Jpeg, finding the same problem, deleting them again and uploading images as original size Jpeg.

I have also just tried to include a slideshow NextGen gallery to one of my pages which doesn’t appear to be displaying either.

Any help & advice would be appreciated

I installed it and i works. but the Images have no links. (becuase i don’t assing categories to a page)

How to make it link to each galleries autogenarated page?

Hi I wondered how to make the gallery in the sidebar two columns. At themoment when I insert into side bar i get one column i wanted two columns with 4 rows of thumbnails

When I click on the gallery in the widget, it just opens up the image full screen.
How can I make it open up with any effects?
It works fine, if it’s on a page, but doesn’t work in a widget.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi everybody,
When I click on an image in the sidebar, the image opens on a new webpage instead of zooming.
What can be the problem?
I have no idea where to look and didn’t find anything in the search.
The weird thing is, that it works on one site and not on another.
I have the latest wordpress version and nextgen gallery plugin and the nextgen colorboxer plugin.

Hey there,

I am using this widget in the sidebar as a thumbnail gallery of images. When I click on the thumbnails to enlarge they double up so there is another gallery shadowing the gallery it in the background. How can I prevent this from happening?

Hi,

I am using the NetGen Gallery widget which I am loving but there are a few issues. When I use template=compact, the folders of the photos looks great but when I click [Show as slideshow] the timer comes up but no slideshow proceeds.

Is there anyway of removing the text {Show as slideshow]?

I am using NextGen Gallery with Bologolife Pro template (Bologolife has the same issue).

The issue was that when you add the widget to sidebar its title would be indented inwards and properly formatted.

I was able to figure out that problem occurs only when you have the option of “I.E Webslice” turned on. So the very simple solution is to turn that off.

If you want to fix the code, go to widgets.php in the “wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery” and edit the following code block around line 300.

            //the headline needs to have the class enty-title

You need to comment out the line after comments. It is adding this very “entry-title” class which is causing the problem.

When I access lmmaia.com the plugin works. When I access https://www.novacitacor.pt that redirects to lmmaia.com the plugin does not work.

I am trying to set up the Nextgen sidebar widget to show 4 thumbnails in the sidebar. It currently only shows one random thumbnail from my gallery. How do I change this to shoe 4? Thanks in advance for the help.

Does anyone know if and how you can exclude gallery’s within specific albums to be excluded from showing up?

For now I can only exclude single galleries, but it would be much more helpfull if I could exclude all gallery’s added to a specific album to be excluded?

Somehow the images are shown to far to the right, they are out of the sidebarbox, they are also a litlle to far to the bottom.

I love this plugin – a very handy way to list galleries.

One question – I want to use the “imagedate” variable, and am wondering how to format the date string that it puts out.

The date is displayed like this:

2011-05-16 00:56:04

And I’d like it to be like “Friday 14 January”.

I’m using a child theme, and if I place the ngg-sidebar-widget containing the templates in the child theme directory, the plugin doesn’t find them. It only works if I place ngg-sidebar-widget in the parent theme directory.
Could I suggest that you replace “get_template_directory()” in the plugin with “get_stylesheet_directory()”? That will find the child theme directory if one is being used.

All of a sudden, this widget isn’t working. Text links now take the place where thumbnailed images used to be.

I notice there was a recent update to NGG. Might this have broken the widget?

I was experimenting with the templates and some of the variables. I can’t seem to find one that gives me a link to the gallery sub-page. The gallery.link is only providing the pageID set in the gallery edit area.

I’d like to link to the gallery’s subpage. In other words:

I’m getting the following error when attempting to activate this plug-in.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error:

I could not find any mention from Description whether “ppfeufer” forked off his plugin from the “Matthias Geat” version. Are these 2 devs the same person?

BOTH plugins have nearly the SAME text (copy&paste) in Description tab in WordPress repository… It appears to be the same plugin.

I’m confused as to which one is the legit and current version (as both plugins look like they were recently updated)… but have different dev author names.

I have in the inner.html:
