The NextGEN Download Gallery is deprecated by NextGEN. So I’m wondering if I should use the plugin at all.
Isn’t there another plugin that also allows downloads from galleries?
Why is it so hard to get there?

Hello, I had to deactivate the NextGEN plugin that the thumbnails on product page look square and the scroll buttons for the thumbnails are in the right place. So you will not see the problem on the page anymore but in the download area for our clients all the NextGen Galleries for our clients are also not working anymore. We are using the woodmart theme and obviously there are compatibility problems.

I want to put a gallery on another page which just shows Lampshades. When I insert the gallery into the Lampshades page, the lampshade images appear in the lampshades gallery and also on lamps gallery.
Can’t I create two separate galleries for two different pages?

There is simply no downloads Button aka no download functionality.

I installed:
NextGen Gallery plugin
NextGen Download Gallery plugin
and activated both.

Imagely (NectGen) has upgraded to a 1.9.0 version and 2.0 theme version. Unfortunately with the new upgrade this Nextgen Gallery no longer works. Does anyone have an idea of how to make it work? I really like this plugin for my clients. It’s exactly what I need. Thank you.

I’m trying to override the template, I have nggallery/gallery-download.php in my theme.

The first change I made to this showed up in the gallery I’m testing it with. I’m struggling to get subsequent changes to the HTML to be reflected in what I’m seeing on the front end. Is there some caching going on, that needs to be cleared perhaps?

I also realise I’m not sure if I should be pointing at the plugins download template or mine – I’ve tried both. At the moment I’m getting massively confusing results – pointing at my theme’s version seems to give me an old version of its code, pointing at the plugin’s version an even older version (of my template).

I was wondering if there was some way I could just have the download all button and not have a template showing all the photos.

I prefer to use the original next-gen gallery, and then just have a button off to the side saying download all if that is what they want to do.

Hello! We are using NextGEN Gallery and two Iconic plugins (Woocommerce Attribute Swatches and Woocommerce Show Single Variations) since many months without problems.
Now I cannot insert a NextGEN Gallery to a page anymore because of an error ( Error thrown Call to a member function add_settings_page() on null)
I can show a screen recording video of the error when I try to add a NextGEN Gallery to a page.
When i deactivate the ICONIC plugins it is working. These 3 plugins are essential for our website. I also reached out the developers of the Iconic plugins. But could you please check if this is caused by the NextGEN Gallery plugin?

I downloaded and activated your plugin – but I dont have the “download template” as an option” when choosing a gallery? What am I missing?

i installed and activated this plugin, as I want to give the option to my customers/visitors to download all pictures of one gallery at once.

But when I add a NG gallery to a page I don′t have a special download template, not do I see the option to download pictures.

Am I missing anything?

I want to allow site users to search for images using Harold Rohs Smart Image Search, but show the result using your download template. So far can’t get shortcode that combines both. Help?

Is there a way to make the mobile version of this look better? When I view a download gallery on mobile it really looks bad with everything very small and running together.

I have a problem witht he plugin, if I create a album with special chars in the name the chars are also in the slug (table: ngg_gallery) and if the user clicks on the album there are no images to show (error in the frontend).
Then I remove the chars in the database and it works. I think they need to be escaped in the admin function of the create album?
Does anyone got this issue too?

I recently updated my NextGen Gallery to version 3.2.10 and the NextGen Download Gallery stopped working. I really need this to work because I cannot deliver images to my clients otherwise.

I want to download all of my NextGen Gallery Photos as an Backup so I installed NextGen Download Gallery . But I don’t see any Download Button in the latest NextGen Gallery after I installed and activated the download gallery plugin.

I am still getting an issue where non-admin downloads would be redirected back to the home page.

I believe this was solved back in 1.4.1. Would you know if anything has changed on that since?

My client desperately needs to add the image caption to the download template. Is there anyone out there who can do this for some $$$ right away?

Has anyone been able to use the Download plugin with any other gallery than the simple? Client wants to show more metadata in download gallery.

It seems reasonable to want the download buttons on the search results page

The download plugin is not working with nextgen pro galleries.
[nggallery id=8 template=download] – this works

[ngg_images gallery_ids=”8″ template=download display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_pro_mosaic”] – this does not work, it shows the gallery without any of the download features.

Nextgen gallery works fine on mobile but when I activate the download gallery plugin it screws everything up on mobile. It is not responsive and there remain 6 images across whether I’m in portrait or landscape mode not to mention there is no organization to them and they are very small.

I’m using this PI with NextCellent Galleries.

If the user clicks on a thumbnail to view an image, the gallery switches to a “slideshow” style with a single larger image displayed (along with “next/previous” buttons). There is no way for the user to get back to the thumbnails for downloading.

And, when there are multiple galleries on one page, the problem affects all of the galleries, even though only one has been clicked on. So if the user clicks a thumbnail in gallery 1, the large image “slideshow” mode is displayed in gallery 1, gallery 2, gallery 3, etc.

Thought it might be a Visual Composer conflict, but the problem also occurs on pages where Visual Composer is not in use.
