After looking at a number of other free slider plugins, Nemus Slider gets my vote.
It would be nice if you could choose individual posts to display, as well as display videos from your Media Library, but apart from that, its a really easy to use slider tool with some useful features.

I just went through trying at least 10 different sliders. They all forced height on my images resulting in stretched images.
Nemus Slider did not do this. It works as described, feels solid and does what the config says it does. The menus feel new and not outdated as other more popular sliders. Responsive layout support is a plus.
The only draw back is you cannot add multiple slides at once. I had to add all my 40+ slides manually. Would love to see this option in the future.
Otherwise this is an excellent simple image slider! Highly recommended!

Ease of use is fantastic – strong user experience. Swiping on mobile is nice a smooth. Caption Overlay takes up the entire slide on mobile, covering too much of the image, which is a showstopper for me. I am going with Cyclone 2 for now.
