very smart plugin !!

This plugin is so extremely essential to my website that I wouldn’t be able to live without it! I was easily able to create dozens of shortcodes that dramatically shorten the length and complexity of my posts and pages so that editing them and adding new products is fast and simple. By creating multiple shortcodes that I stack into templates with blank areas designed for adding unique text and images I can create new pages with all the essential elements in a flash and make widespread changes to the stylistic coding that effects all uses of that shortcode but not the content itself. When these changes instantly take effect over thousands of individual affiliate products I am so grateful for the use of this plugin because it saves me hundreds if not thousands of hours manually updating each page.

This is easy to use but powerful. You’ve done a great job! Thanks!

This plugin is one of several plugins I install by default on every new WordPress-based website I work on.
It automates the process of hand-coding your own shortcodes but the manner in which it achieves this is what’s truly exemplary. I’m referring of course to the deliciously designed user interface that’s sprinkled with an array of convenient confrontational options without affecting the intuitive ease-of-use of this plugin.
This plugin truly simultaneously facilitates both novices and pros without one facilitation being at the expense of the other. One can create their shortcodes with as much expedience or complexity as they desire.
The support forum is actively responded to by the author and the plugin itself is sufficiently maintained. The plugin author demonstrates vigilance against WordPress related security exploits.

I have tried quite a few different shortcode manager plugins and I have stayed with this one because it is very powerful while still easy and intuitive to use!
Also the author seems like a very professional guy whose support is excellent!
Way to go! ??

We used this plugin and it works great, however, the developer created an update that was not compatible with prior versions and completely destroyed a bunch of websites that were using the plugin when the site owners updated it. I am seriously displeased with the developer for this choice, though the plugin itself works as intended. I would highly recommend never using this plugin as its clear the developer has no regard for backward compatibility. Save yourself time and code your own shortcodes.

As a web developer I found this plugin extremely intuitive and easy to use. It has amazing features, such as the ability to use attribute slugs in a shortcodes css page. I’m drooling with all the possibilities this plugin provides and so grateful that I finally have a way to stop fighting with the WP visual editor.
PROS:
CONS:
None that I can find, unless you count the fact that you should probably be a web developer if your going to use it, as a con.
SUGGESTIONS:
The button added on the page/post editor to open the UI is a bit hard to find and looks out of place. Consider making it an actual button or adding it to the TinyMCE toolbar, because that’s where it looks like it belongs. For me it falls right between the ‘Add Media’ and ‘Ultimate Shortcodes’ buttons and just looks like out of place square brackets, kind of like if the HTML is goofed or something.
Another suggestion would be to make it possible to network activate this plugin and allow the super-admin to enable the PHP tab only for certain sites. As it is, I can’t offer this to my clients due to the security risk. I can still activate it on their site and create the custom shortcodes for them, I just have to use another plugin to make sure the ‘[] My Shortcodes’ button isn’t available to them.
Thank you David Cramer! I look forward to purchasing the premium version soon.

I had a serious challenge that was requiring me to keep several pages in “Text” mode with WP to avoid messing up some html formatting within another elaborate shortcode. While researching different ways to solve this challenge, I found the free “My Shortcodes” plugin and used it to create new shortcodes that contained the previous shortcodes that were getting messed up by WP. I liked what I saw so much that I went ahead and purchased his My Shortcodes Pro – Caldera Engine. Although the free version solved my immediate issue, I wanted the extra flexibility to see what else I could do. Very glad that I found this. Thanks to David Cramer!

It has made more things possible for me!

I tried multiple shortcode plugins before I found this. Lightweight, php code in the template works as it should, syntax highlighting, the ability to insert functions in the header and javascript in the footer, add external libraries, etc… Nothing else came close.
Speed is a major factor for me- pagespeed results were the same when inserting code via shortcodes as when inserted directly into the post. Great UI too. Nice work.

Thanks to DCramers tutorial I did my own Google Maps implementation with this plugin after I had spent hours and hours with Google Map plugins.
Thank you, I am missing a Donate button! ??
