It’s still working in our WordPress 6.2.2 install, but we’re actively looking for a replacement.

I’m having issues with cloning my primary site. I’m able to clone the site and everything looks perfect, but I’m not able to edit the subdomain.
I know that I must use filter to declare plugins and custom database tables, but I don’t know how to use this filter. Can somebody help with a step by step instruction or a sample?

]]>In our WP multisite which have about 30 subdomains with “club-sites”. We have started new club-sites by duplicating a site named klona.seniornet.se. No problems have apeeared until now.
We have the last version of MultiSite Clone Duplicator and WordPress 5.8.1 and when I now duplicate a site in the multisite the new site has the only role Translator. All the other roles has disappeared. There is thus impossible to choose administrator as a role on the new site.

I haven′t installed the plugin yet. I′m reading the FAQ′s and don′t understand what this filter does:
WARNING : If you clone the primary site, you must use mucd_default_primary_tables_to_copy filter to declare plugins and custom database tables, or your cloned site won’t be complete.
I′d like to get an exact clone of my primary site, and after that, future changes in the cloned site will be done manually and will have the exact same content/functionality as the primary site. Should I need to add that filter?

I’m afraid to upgrade wordpress for fear this will break.

]]>After duplicating one master site to 40 subsites I see a problem with several images.
The image HTML code points to the master site instead of the duplicated sites.
For example on the site testsite.nl/master-location/resources/extinguishing-media/ (ID 12) a image points to wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2019/07/Fire-hose-reel-150×150.jpg
But on a duplicated site testsite.nl/location10/resources/extinguishing-media/ (ID 39) the image also points to wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2019/07/Fire-hose-reel-150×150.jpg

The cloned site seems to work. But none of the users were cloned over.

No errors I can see anywhere . But I’m worried that something didn’t happen. And the fact that the users weren’t copied over is a problem (given I have like 700+ users on that website I was cloning)

The use case here is a new client signs up for the service, and I create them a new account automatically that is a clone of an existing account.
]]>When I run the plugin as Super Admin, no problem.
When I run the plugin with a user who has all Super Admin capabilities, but is not the Super Admin, the duplication process launches, but stops with the message “autorisation refusée”.
However, the site is created, but lot of stuff are missing, such as theme of source site which is not applied to cloned site.

But suddenly there was a problem.
When you clone, the user-role-editor plug-in’s permission settings are not replicated.

Thank you for your great plugin. However, when we use your plugin to duplicate a site we get two PHP notices:
Notice: wp_new_user_notification was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 4.3.1 with no alternative available
Notice: wpmu_new_blog is deprecated since version 5.1.0! Use wp_insert_site instead.
Would be nice if these notices could be fixed ??
]]>I’m finding that when duplicating sites I occasionally get a 504 Gateway Timeout Error. This doesn’t happen every time, but when it does it takes the site offline for around 5 minutes. Has anyone come across this before/have any potential fixes?

Hi, after duplicating a WP site within multisite which is based on elementor (free version), I have identified that the “elementor-image” element has the new copied media files when displayed within the page – but the media link (which is used to view the picture in the lightbox when clicked) is still the old URL. The interesting thing is that I have tried to search and replace in the database and have not found the old URL anywhere. Any ideas?

]]>Hey guys! I’m working on a plugin that adds support for cloning a site with Distributor connections. Here’s my plugin., at the moment I could only add support for the Multisite Cloner plugin and not for MultiSite Clone Duplicator. I’ve been searching for any hook your plugin runs after cloning the database so I can add my plugin to it, I probably need to search deeper but I would greatly appreciate any help in providing such hook. At the moment my plugin is hooked into the wpmu_new_blog action, which works with MUCL but not MultiSite Clone Duplicator. However, the manual it provides does work as intended.
