Featured image & Post delete don’t work
]]>Hi,
This plugin is working great except for that: When creating a new post that has a custom field, the custom field is not being copied on the other site(s).
The name of the field is user-friendly (with upper case letters and spaces), it worths to mention that.
Anyone else having this same problem?
]]>I tried installing this on 3.3.1 and it works but I noticed a couple things not sure if this is intended functionality or not.
> Featured images are not carried over to child posts
> If the parent post is deleted the child posts remain
Other then that seems to be working fine in 3.3.1
]]>Bit of an odd one… If a user is a subscriber of a blog, it allows them to select the blog as one of their Multipost blogs when posting from one of their blogs and it actually posts. This is a bit disconcerting, I’ve had to disable and remove the plugin until this is fixed.
]]>1. I set up a network.
2. I set up an admin account for both of my blogs so that I could access both blogs with one user account.
3. I logged into the parents account.
4. I installed the plugin multi post in both blogs.
5. I select “new post”.
6. There is a square bottom right that says “There are no blogs you can cross post to.”.
What else do I have to do? I have tried four different plugins. For some, I could select the site but the post would not actually show up. For this, I can’t even select the site. Please help!! This is for work and super important.
]]>Just wondering if anybody figured out a way to get Custom Post Types and Multipost-MU to play together?
]]>Hi fellow WP fans ??
Has anyone used or have any experience with this plugin on the latest WP? Will it continue to be supported? Any feedback is very welcome.
Cheers,
H.
]]>I would love to use this plugin but it throws 404 errors on every post (but not on pages). I have more than 35 sites on this network and it would be too much time to update the permalink structure on every site each time I update the page to all blogs on the network.
Anyone have any clue as to why 404 errors are appearing on posts, but not pages? Thank you!
]]>can’t setup sub blogs, etc. Doesn’t even have a place to do it.
]]>Can you use this plugin to do a bulk action? It would be nice if you could have a list of posts, say, filtered by tag or category, and then be able to select them all and post them to sites x, y, z, etc.
]]>Firs, let me tell you this plugin is big time saving anyway.
Once I find out how to manage this issue, the rest is downhill, since I can always delete the link data extra field and the same-name pages will be recognized next time (it did so as soon as I activated the plugin, with pre-existing pages)
Now my issue:
I just edited a child page (broadcasted page?) and the next time I updated the “parent” page ( broadcaster? / Original? ) a new page was created next to the edite one (on the blog selected before), with a -2 at the end, I assume I’ll get repeated pages every time I edit a child (broadcasted) page. Not good.
Now, I deleted both (broadcasted and broadcasted-2), and made another change to the original Page, and this time it’s not broadcasted (duplicated?) anymore, no matter how many times I edit it that original.
Not only that, but I can’t even remove the checkmark from the selected blog, so I can’t go back to broadcast it to that blog.
So, it seems the behavior is inverted:
It should be persisting on re-broadcasting deleted pages, but not if it’s been edited, but it’s doing the opposite, i.e. breaking the link when deleted, persisting when child is edited.
note: I also emptied the trash when I said I deleted the child pages.
]]>I’ve been looking for a plugin like this for a client, but I was curious if it prevents bad SEO karma. I’m not an SEO whiz, but I know duplicate content can get pretty hairy (https://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/duplicate-content), so I wanted to see if this plugin did anything to take that into account. Looks like it might, since it records information between the original post and children posts, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
]]>Will this be updated for WP 3.2.1?
]]>I haven’t found any information yet about this, but are there any plans to support WPML? I have tried it out, and this works for the sites without WPML, but the posts don’t propogate at all to the WPML-enabled sites.
]]>Hello –
I didn’t see much in this forum, or anywhere else for that matter on this subject so am posting here.
I am running WP 3.2.1 with multisite enabled. I have SSL running on the parent site to protect content (site is for board members of a HOA with volatile content) but not enabled on the child site which I set up for homeowners and is currently public; no SSL.
This plugin as well as a much older one I have tried allows posting from the board site to the homeowners’s site perfectly except for 1 issue…images and I assume other media won’t transfer. This is I believe due to the fact that the physical location of media is on the SSL side of the server. The media url shows up as ‘https’ and if you try to open it, it send the user to login page (for the board protected site). The only solution I am coming up with at this point is to cancel my standard SSL certificate and enable SSL for both sites. I really don’t want to do this, although you almost can’t get enough security these days. My host ISP agrees that this is probably the only solution. Of course, I could cancel my SSL all together and rely on WP plugins.
Any commments/suggestions?
Thanks much.
Mark
Hi there,
After doing a page update across my primary site and a child site, I get 404 errors on every post on the child site’s blog (pages are unaffected). To fix this I have to go into “Settings > Permalinks” of the child site and hit the “Save Changes” button.
Obviously, having to do this every time I update a page has become very tedious. Anyone else encountered this problem?
Cheers
Peter
add and edit are all ok.
but delete is not good.when i delete one post by site-admin,i found only main blog’s post has deleted, sub blog’s post still live.
i try scan mysql , then i find the postmeta had deleted before the plugin delete sub blog’s post.so, the plugin cound’t found childposts and deleted childposts.
how can i fix this bug??
]]>I used your plugin and noticed that it posted to ome of my networks blogs, but not all.
When I went to the post, I noticed that not all of my blogs are listed in the “post to” section.
Am I missing doing something?
]]>Hi there,
Indeed a great plugin! though i have 2 questions:
1) Does this work for multiple languages? Means its duplicated for all language from main blog site?
2) Suppose, i have to replicate the pages in 2-3 other domains from main site. Its very cumbersome to go to each / individual page, edit it and assign it multiple sites. Is there any option, so that we can get the “Multipost” box on page list itself?
I have seen WP admin where they have got “Associate” link for associating the page in new site!
Thanks in advance,
Harpinder
I’m setting up a network of sites for a white-labeled iPhone/Android app that all use the same theme & general content but each have their own theme options to upload logo, screenshots, app name, etc. We are using the WP Replicator plugin to set up new network sites to copy the pages, widgets, etc from the “master” site that I’ve created.
Because we want to have global content that trickles down from the master site to corresponding pages on the sub-sites, I have installed Multipost MU. However, when I publish/update a page on the master site, it creates a new version of the page on the child sites. If I delete the previous child site page of the same name (from the original replication) and update the menu with the new page that was created, all further Multipost updates to that subsite/page work fine.
However, this is a pain in the rear to do across a large network of sites and kind of defeats much of the purpose of using the Replicator plugin.
My question is this: Is there a way to hook an existing child page to the master page? I would love it if Multipost had an option to match the permalink slug of the selected child sites in order to make a match for updating. Any suggestions?
]]>Does Multipost MU support WPML? It does not appear, but I could be wrong.
]]>Hi,
I have 3 questions
Thanks in advance.
]]>Is it possible to assign the same ID to a post on a sub-blog as the master post ID?
Reason: I have two test-blogs running in multisite: first one and second one, and I want both blogs to display the thumbnail images uploaded to the first one. Displaying thumbnails depends on post ID. Thumbnail under post ID=1 appears on both blogs. I’ve scanned the code, tried to hack somehow, but I’m not a php expert.
Unchecking a child site that has previously been published to does not remove the child post. Upon update, the site is again checked, and the only way to remove the link seems to be to delete the custom attribute and then manually delete the post on the child site.
]]>it’s not working in version 3.0+… don’t shows ll the sub-blogs.. just it self ??
]]>First of all, this plugin was easy to install and worked well out of the box, except for 2 important functions. When we add a page or a post to multisites from the master admin, then go to edit or delete an existing post, the post on the multi-sites is not edited or deleted. Is this is bug?
]]>Is there options or a plan to add an option to sync comments on posts made with the MultiPost plugin?
Outside of that, this plugin is great!
]]>Seems to be the plug in I need.
I have the latest WP version, installed the plug in in the mu-plugins correctly (just the file).
I have the options Multipost appearing on my posts page but I cannot select the other blogs on my network.
I have tried making theme private then public again, created new blog, but nothing appear other than my main blog.
What am i missing?
Is there a function to group the subsites? I have more than 30 subsites an i want to group by active, inactive or special regions and more…
