I have a list of movie titles where the character “&” is being displayed as “&”. This issue did not exist previously, and I’m unsure why it’s happening now. Could someone explain why this change occurred and how I can fix it?

I’m trying it out, and am having an issue that may or may not be my fault. I’ve set up two pages, one to display all tags on the site, the other to display all child categories of a particular parent. I’m also trying to hide any items on both lists that have no post connections.
My tags page works fine hiding any empty tags, I can hide empty categories when pulling in all categories, but I cannot get it to hide empty child categories.
Is this simply something that just won’t work the way the plugin does its thing, or could I be doing something wrong?

Hi. Love so much your plugin but, after upgrading to last version 17.0.29, the shortcode I was using is no longer working. You suggested it to me 2 years ago to show 2 different custom post types in the same list. Could you fix this in the last version and add it also to the next versions? I’m creating a multisite on the history of my work (very different kinds of information, multiple autors). I was very happy to see that his plugin has a multisite option, be it just mentioning the different sites. Would it be possible to create a tag-list over different sites in the multisite. So could I for example in the profile of a person in the genealogy create a link to where this person is linked in stories, in objects or in letters. If these have all their one subsite? Or could I make a tag map of all the names in a custom taxonomy list of all inhabitants?
It would make the information so much more dynamic and it would create possibilities to make links to local archive (custom taxonomy archival number).
It’s not a must have, but I sure would love to have this functionality!

[mctagmap responsive="yes" width="150px" columns="4"]When I hit save, nothing shows up. I saw the FAQ about increasing WP_MEMORY_LIMIT so I did to 1 GB PHP Memory Limit but still nothing shows up.
Could permissions issues also cause the shortcode to not display on a page?
]]>I added some of my own formatting to the list output by this plugin, and something in the plugin is deleting a lot of my changes. It lets me add some tags, so I know I’m doing it write, but certain tag attributes just disappear. It’s really maddening to have a script think it knows better than me what I intend to write and remove code that I intentionally put in. How do I find this and turn it completely off?
It definitely happening inside the plugin, I dumped the shortcode output to the console and sure enough my attributes aren’t in it.
I understand there is a security vulnerability with your plugin. I use it on a couple of sites and would love to know that you are working on a patch. Please let me know if you are no longer supporting this plugin so I can search for a replacement.

For a list of custom posts (sorted by taxonomy), I need to add a meta_query to the query args. It’s based on a current user capability so it has to be dynamic. Do you provide a hook for this? Thanks.
]]>I tried the search function here with the “not showing all posts,” but it spins on searching with no result. I also looked through 10+ pages for a similar topic to no avail.
My categories page shows topics with correct post counts. For example, “catalog (85),” but the results, when clicked on, only show 25 posts. This happens in all categories with more than 25 posts.
How can I change this, so the results page displays all the posts?

]]>Hi! Thanks for your great plugin. The Index I made on my “story reference site for tour guides” is one of the quiet succespages of the site: used a lot and needs little maintenace.
The reference guide is growing a bit to much and the volunteer group we’re working for is growing, so I decided to start working with custom post types for different knowledge areas.
So I used [mctagmap responsive=”yes” tag_count=”yes” group_numbers=”yes”]
But now I want the tagmap to show al tags for all the different post types. What happens now if I use this code, I get a complete tag map, but if I click on a result (eg dog (3)) than it only shows the posts that have dog as a tag and not the custom posts that have dog as a tag, though they are counted (there are only three post type entries that have the tag dog).
If I change the code to [mctagmap post_type=”post,geschiedenisverhalen” responsive=”yes” tag_count=”yes” group_numbers=”yes”] it doesn’t change anything in the outcome. How can I make an Index for one custom post type or a combination of post types? Is it possible?

Hi we’re seeing the following errors in the plugin options screen below the checkboxes for custom css and conditional css.
Below custom css:
Warning: Undefined array key “use_custom” in \wp-content\plugins\multi-column-tag-map\mctagmap-options.php on line 150
Below conditional css:
Warning: Undefined array key “use_conditional” in \wp-content\plugins\multi-column-tag-map\mctagmap-options.php on line 179
Both issues resolve if we add some custom and conditional css, tick the boxes and save.
However, if either box is left blank or unticked, the issue remains.
Our server is using PHP8.1 and we’ve tested with 2020 theme and no plugins.
It’s not desperately serious, but it does output an error to the server log file every time it’s encountered.

]]>Hi, I’m using MC Tag Map to generate a page for our (far too many) tags. Today we were hitting a 502 error on the page, which I fixed by upping the minimum count on the shortcodes. However in looking at the page I noticed that Query Monitor was showing a warning for the plugin:

Hi, when using sort_alpha_groups is it possible to sort correctly by alphabetical order?

Without sort_alpha_groups the alphabetical order show correct.
And a second question, in the title of each grouped letter, is it possible to show only the first one, for example in the alpha groups of E|é show only the letter E as title?
