Payhip. The link used to work. But no more.
You can see the link when you hover over the payhip button.
When you right click and choose to open in a new tab or a new window the link works.
All the other links work (google play, amazon). When I switch the URL between the buttons (e.g, put the google play link with the payhip button and the payhip link with the google play button) the payhip link doesn’t work.
I even added “_blank” to the URL (https://payhip.com/b/qQKvt “_blank”) and that didn’t work and who knows I might not need as many quotation marks…
I am at my wits end.

]]>I don’t know what the default behavior is. But, when I click on the amazon button, I can see an icon in my browser address bar telling me a pop up was blocked and the page refreshed. It doesn’t take me to amazon.
If anything odd is done with retailer links, could you consider changing them to normal links? I also see target=_new in the code which isn’t standard. It should be nothing or if you want, target=_blank.
This isn’t a problem per se, I was just wondering if there was a way to remove the ‘Series: ‘ wording that is placed in front of all the series titles for the book grids.
]]>Hi Christie, thanks for your great plugin, it’s perfect for writers. I have a feature request to be able to have parent and child relationships for Genres, for example:
If would really help in organising the categories more effectively rather than create them randomly in a long list. I’m a bilingual author, so my genres are all over the place. Don’t know how much work is involved or whether this is a premium feature, but thought it would be useful to point out. Thanks, once again!

]]>Hello,
I’m trying to configure the Book Page Settings to use the full page template, as to remove the sidebar when you examine a book entry to no avail.
From the Book Page Settings, I can choose to use the Full Page template but this only hides the sidebar, while still keeping the space for it, instead of using the full width of the page.
As a note, the full page template is working correctly when used in regular pages.
Any help will be appreciated!
]]>All of my book detail pages are coming up with a 404 error. This is all of a sudden.
Everything was working fine. For a long time.
I logged onto my WP site to add another book and upon checking to make sure that that book’s pages were working OK I discovered the error. Then I discovered that every single one of my other books’ detail pages were not working either.
Here is some interesting data I discovered while troubleshooting:
When editing a page, when I click on preview changes (under publish) I get the 404 for error. All my books are set to public. I tried toggling back and forth private public for one book to see if that did anything with no luck. View Post as well as clicking on the permalink don’t yield anything either.
(these all point to the same URL but I tried it anyways).
I did try it on a different browser (same computer ) and my phone — all get this 404 error.
Also if you search “” (see here – https://gscottgraham.com/?s= you see my books listed including my most recent book but when you click on Continue Reading you get the 404 error (links to the same URL for the book detail / preview / permanent I described earlier — which I why I tried it on different browsers and my phone thinking they might be the issue and not the site).
]]>Hi!
I have a link to my book on Google Books and have verified that the link works fine:
https://books.google.com/books?id=oRvcEAAAQBAJ
However, that format won’t be accepted by the plugin. The plugin wants https://www.google.com/books/edition/your-unique-text
I have tried multiple iterations of my book ID (oRvcEAAAQBAJ) in that format but none seems to work.
Thanks for your help.

In the breadcrumbs for a book details page there is an entry called just ‘Books’. If it is clicked on it takes you to a page that lists book titles only without description, images or anything else. It’s not really worthwhile and can I somehow remove it from the breadcrumbs?

]]>Hi,
First of all many thanks for this plugin! It was just the thing I need and couldn’t find.
I read the previous post on how to change the slug of default books to something else.
I read:
add_filter( ‘mbdb_book_cpt’, ‘mbdb_book_slug’);
function mbdb_book_slug( $args ) {
$args[‘rewrite’] = array( ‘slug’ => ‘libro’);
return $args;
}
But where do I put this code?
Thanks!

]]>I’m on the latest version of WordPress and I have been having difficulty in adding books to the plugin since downloading it last night. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, and also tried rolling back the plug-in to previous versions to try and get around this.
Adding a screenshot of what I’m adding into the book post content. Every time I update it (and I’ve tried deleting and starting this process again), it wipes a lot of the information, then doesn’t exactly register the book. I’m also unable to add this into a grid even having followed the Mooberry Book user manual.
Where I have the book grid for “all books” added on a page of the website, it just shows as ‘no book found’ (see top of page here: https://www.janebremer.co.uk )
If anyone knows how to get around this, I’d be incredibly grateful for any assistance.

]]>Hi! I’d love some help customizing my book grid.
1. I’d like to organize my books by “type” for lack of a better term. Picture books, chapter books. I have Custom Fields but would really rather have them show up as “Picture Books” and “Chapter Books” on the book grid, rather than have a signifier before that. Right now I have it as “Read” so it shows up as “Read: Picture Books” but I’d rather get rid of that.
2. I’d love to have the picture books show up at the top of the page and the chapter books below. Is there a way to have the custom fields display in reverse alphabetical order?

Also on the book grid on my site how can you trunacate the long text that ruins the layout?
]]>This is my first attempt at website creation and I just started using Mooberry to display the ebooks my husband has written. I’m embarrassed to say how long it took me just to understand Mooberry’s basic use. But two things I’d like help with:
1. I just wanted to list all his books (17) segregated into their own series categories (a total of 5 separate categories). I made the series book grid okay, and when it prints out on the page, it says: Series: Nameof Series, with the pictures and links below them. I HATE having the word “Series” on there, but I need the created heading. Any way I can just get rid of the word “Series” on the page? It just looks unprofessional and I don’t have the design capabilities myself to do anything other than use a plug-in.
2. This may not be possible with Mooberry; and, if not, if someone could direct me to the right plugin I’d appreciate it. On the homepage, I’d like to showcase the most recent book release, with an attractive “now available” type of text. As stated, I have no design chops so am looking for a plugin to do it for me. I had hoped Mooberry would have something built in; but if not, any suggestions would sure be helpful.
]]>I just started using the plugin, and it seems I must be doing something wrong. I am an author of several books, and on one of them, there are two authors. For some reason, I can’t find where to enter in authors. There is a place to configure editors, illustrators, and such, but no place to enter authors.
I did see where it used my “admin” username as the author, but that is not correct. Users are the people who can use WordPress. Authors who have books in my publishing company cannot have access to WordPress. It would be very helpful if you could add authors in just like you add editors, etc. I’m not sure how people are using this plugin the way it is working with authors. It is important to realize that books can have many authors. Anthologies can have 10 authors!
If you are concerned that entering information for authors requires a lot of fields, you could switch to using the Profiles that are standard in WordPress. These allow you to enter Categories and Attributes also, which is helpful.
It would be so wonderful if you could please switch away from using Users for Authors. For a business that maintains multiple author’s books, it would be bad to give authors access to the system automatically. Like Amazon, I have my Amazon “user” account, and once I have that, I can then have the KDP Author account added, which allows additional information, and all my books under my name.
Thank you for considering this. As one piece of additional info, before I became an author, I was a software engineer and CTO for 40+ years, since 1979. So, hopefully you will take my suggestion as something I have considered carefully.
]]>Hi there! I was wanting to enlarge the book covers in my grids, so I increased the “BOOK GRID DEFAULT SETTINGS” in the dashboard. The covers get bigger, but they then get squished together and the text remains in the same location as though the container in which the covers are situated isn’t increasing with the size. I’ve provided the link to the page in question.
Also, the “BOOK GRID DEFAULT SETTINGS” option isn’t increasing the size of the covers on the tags grid page, like here: https://macflynn.com/books/dragons/
How can I increase the size of those covers?
]]>If a mbm_book_grid shortcode is used to insert a book grid on a page, and the grid is set to group books by series, the heading on each series section is an h2.
When the grid is already below a heading on the form, we may want to insert a grid that has series headings of h3 or higher.
Can you please add this as an option in the shortcode arguments?
I’m aware I can control the appearance of these headings with CSS, but to conform with accessibility guidelines, headings have to reflect the actual outline structure of the page, not simply look right for sighted users.
My specific use case is that I want to insert two grids inside a tabbed UI to let users select the sort order. The tab labels should be h2, so section headings on the tab have to be h3.
