It seems that this plugin doesn’t convert PNG files to WebP, is there a fix?

Hi,

i run in an ussie that i dont know how to fix. When i activate the Plugin, it seems to work fine. All Preview images are shown in .webp as selected.

But when i click on one of those new images to open it in a lightbox. But then i get an 404 error, because the original size, wich now should be displayed, is trying to load the .webp file. Since it is linking to the original source, it should be a png file.

So i think the plugin runs in a little problem thinking that all images are now in a new file format but not the original image.

Do you know any fix for that?

I have installed and saw WebP and AVIF, great. But how to use them?

• After upload JPEG files, I belief it will auto generate WebP or AVIF. But how to setup WordPress to use this modern format for supported browser and revert back to JPEG for unsupported browser? Other plugins are using .htaccess, <PICTURE> tag syntax, but this plugin has no such settings.
• How about existing images in Media, can they convert to WebP, AVIF? How?

Appreciate if you could write a simple guide / manual.

I have installed libavif but still grayed out?

I installed it on my website, but I can’t select the option : avif. Only Webp, why? Do I have to do any more configuration?

Hi! I’m using the web stories plugin, and if i set the sub-size crops to webp (with original image with jpg extension), for the poster image don’t have create correct crops. It’s show blank images.

Can you please clarify?

In the tags it says “Tags: AVIF / webp ” but in the description & in the images have nothing about AVIF, so dose it have AVIF support or not?

And can it automatically switch back the webp or original if AVIF or webp is not supported by the browser?

I am having trouble changing my jpeg images from default to WebP. Whenever I try to press “WebP”, it is like it is some sort of locked for me.
Hope you guys can help me out here.
