Hi,
I’ve noticed that on a site visited using https the css for the plugin is still loaded using http – this causes the https page to be detected by newer browsers as insecure.
I’ve traced this to the function mtf_scripts – where you have WP_PLUGIN_URL in the enqueue for the css file. That constant always returns an https://… version of the site address, but if you change it to use plugins_url() it will work for both http and https sites.
]]>I have a website that is showing the mini twitter feed, but for the life of me I can’t delete it. The plug-in is not showing, it is not mentioned in any editable files or stylesheets. The plugin only exists in the parent theme folder > plug-ins, and when I delete the folder the feed gets replaced by my mini twitter shortcode (shown below with my ID and username replaced). There is NO widget. there is no page with shortcode. There is no script that I can find.
[minitwitter id=”my ID” username=”My name” limit=3]
And I then can’t figure out how to eliminate this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

]]>I copies and pasted the shortcode on my homepage at https://www.real-agenda.com, on the bottom left, right below the Google currents image, but the feed does not appear.
The code looks like this: [minitwitter id=”370627985440665600″ username=”TheRealAgenda”]
I’d appreciate it if the plugin creator or anyone else who had similar issues can give me a hand.
I am running the “ideas” theme. I recently installed the minitwitter plugin, inserted the widget and it works fine.
The problem is..after placing the widget on the main sidebar in the ideas theme, my ideas posts are spaced incorrectly with a lot of white space before the idea title.
Is this a common issue with minitwitter widgets and is there any file I can modify to fix this?
can we change the height and width in the shorcode
]]>Hi There,
I just downloaded this widget and created my Twitter Widget ID. I set it up wiht my ID and username but it is only displaying “Tweets by @Winterloo_Fest” with no feed. website: https://www.winterloo.ca. Can you help me out and let me know what I am missing? Thanks
]]>Hi there…
Is it possible to remove the “Tweet to” button below the tweets?
The whole thing works fine…but I just want my tweets been posted, not the readers having the chance to send me a tweet from there.
Nevermind, I had the wrong plugin activated.
Please delete this post.
]]>Hi there,
would it be possible if someone might be advise how to style the feed. I would like a transparent background with different colour fonts.
Thanks
Mike
hey cool plugin
can i do some thing like (simple example)
$myuser = my custom filed
[minitwitter id=”382496427265359872″ username=”$myuser”]
thanks
]]>Great plugin! I use it on 10 different pages with different tweet accounts on one single site, and was wondering whether or not this could cause too many inquiries into the database? Are the tweets stored locally or on the server database?
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
First apologies for such a basic question. I have no php so understand little of the plug-in syntax
I have registered the plugin and done the twitter stuff it returns a piece of code. I can see the ID and my user name embedded in that code.
What I don’t understand is where I put the line
minitwitter id=”xx-number-xxx” username=”@username”]
in the php code
or alternatively which line in the code I should modify to insert the number and UID.
I see something about the template should I install the Twitter script there?
As you see I am very confused and am sure there is a simple answer
Regards
Roger
Before the twitter api update I was able to include more than one twitter username in a single feed.
Is there still a way to do so?
]]>You can see at the bottom of the page my tweets aren’t showing up…

Can you help with this?
]]>Hi @hectopod,
I’ve just installed the plugin, double-checked my TWITTER_WIDGET_ID and settings, and I’m seeing only this. I’m using 2.0.1.
Site: https://www.pyragraph.com
Any help? Thanks!
]]>Thank you for this plugin.
Regardless of how I set the height, the height of the widget seems to be driven instead by the “Limit” setting (to set the number of tweets to be displayed).
Am I doing something wrong?
regards.
Hi Hectopod, Yesterday it started overflowing the sidebar and into the main content of the page on Firefox browsers only. Site has Mini twitter Feed Version 2.0.1 running on WP 3.5.1 and this just started happening. It works in fine in other browsers (Safari, Chrome, Bing, IE). All plugins were updated a few weeks ago but yesterday it started overflowing the sidebar and into the main content of the page. What do you recommend? You can see results at publicmarketemeryville
]]>My feed stopped working so I took the suggestion and got a new Twitter ID. It still doesn’t work.
]]>Not complaining about this plugin because I loved it – it did what I needed it to do but if we now have to create a widget on Twitter to get the ID then why use this plugin and not just the Twitter generated code which actually does the same thing now.
To restore the widget to how I had it before I had put all the same info in the widget that I did in creating the a widget on Twitter.
Maybe I’m missing the reason for using this plugin now over the code from twitter?
]]>I updated this plugin and got this error in the widget when I activated it and displayed on my sidebar:
Notice: Undefined index: width in /wp-content/plugins/mini-twitter-feed/mini-twitter-feed.php on line 104 Notice: Undefined index: height in /wp-content/plugins/mini-twitter-feed/mini-twitter-feed.php on line 104
Please advise
Thank you
]]>Hi, My website mini twitter feed isn’t working. Can you please help and resolve asap. site url: eminencegroupe.com
]]>Hello,
I have installed this great plugin however when i activate it is giving me this error: (example.com is suppose to be the name of my site not to avoid disclosure)
Notice: Use of undefined constant mtf_create_shortcode – assumed ‘mtf_create_shortcode’ in /var/www/example.com/wp-content/plugins/mini-twitter-feed/mini-twitter-feed.php on line 59
Please tell me how to fix this.
Best,

]]>I like this plugin, but I’ve noticed that when you click on the Twitter hashtag, i.e. #HigherEducation, it takes you to a twitter 404 search page, and not the keyword page. Has anyone else experienced this? I ended up having to use another Twitter feed, a javascript for the job. But I do like this plugin, except for the specified quark.
]]>Hi,
I’m struggling to get the Minitwitter WP plugin working in IE7 and IE8. I get the following console error: SCRIPT348: Object doesn’t support this property or method.
The plugin works fine in all other browsers
Cheers
Kim
Is there anyway to do search queries based on multiple hashtags in one feed? Can’t make a list out of searches in twitter, unfortunately.
Thanks
]]>The plugin keeps calling images from https://a0.twimg.com/profile_images/…… and not https://
even though all javascrits, css files and basically the rest of the page is more or less covered under https://
Any ideas why this could be or what i could try to do to solve it.
in the .js file on line 32 it also says https: first.
site is c0urier.net
]]>I can’t seem to get you plugin working. Neither the widget nor a shortcode will display any tweet, independent from the username I try. Most probably, I’m doing something wrong and I’ll feel really stupid when you point it out…
The site in question is https://bakabaka.nl/preview/lexis/. I’ve deactivated all other plugins to prevent any conflicts, but to no avail.
]]>Hi,
Love the plugin!
One question. The plugin pulls the avatars in over an unsecured connection which is screwing up my HTTPS pages.
Do you have a fix for this?
-Alex
]]>Hello
Firstly i’d like to compliment you on this great plugin.
I am editing the css file to fix the height of the feed, but I don’t want it to be overwritten if there’s an update.
I have a child theme and copied jquery.minitwitter.css into my child folder with the altered height, but it is still taking the style from the original file.
Where should I put the jquery.minitwitter.css file to make it work?
Thank you
Tom
]]>Hi-
Is it possible just to have the twitter feed on the homepage only?
Thanks
