I love this plugin – but it’s getting a bit buggy with each new WP release.
Is an update on the way? It has been 5 years – I see the plugin author responded to someone just 4 months ago though.

]]>Although this was not a very user-friendly tool (except for programmers), it was extremely versatile and remained quite useful for many years. However, after upgrading a client site from WordPress 5.3 to 5.6, it finally broke. It works somewhat, but not correctly. Links created in each loop iteration are now left with an untranslated shorcode in place of a specific post name/address, as in “https: / / mydomain.com/[url]”.
Oh, well, I’m pretty sure I got my money’s worth out of it. So, I cannot complain.
However, if anyone knows of or can find a fix for it before I have dispensed with it’s use, I would be appreciative.

I am building a site as a dictionary for a Greek dialect. I want to order the words alphabetically but there is a mistake because of the accents.
Example:
1) If the accent is NOT in the first letter, works well.

Απλ?
2) But if the second word has an accent in the first letter it changes, but I don’t want this.

Ακο?ω
So, what I want is the letters with accent and without accent to be equal and the algorithm to combine the second letter etc

Hi Miniloops!,
Just an FYI. About 2-3 months ago the plugin stopped pulling the 75×75 images I’d specced.
If I reset the thumbnail-size in the program to a different one, it seems to work, but as soon as I write a new entry it stops working.
It’s like some thumbnail-creation routine is failing or something.
DK if this is new WordPress, or just my LAMP host doing some kind of new free SSL for everyone.
Not sure where this happens, my last area of research ended somewhere aroun line# 615 of helpers.php.

This time I think I am pushing its flexibility though.
I have a CPT with custom taxonomy. I need to display a particular, different post, of the same CPT and the same tax, in the widget as the main post in a single view only.
In case I am under-explaining it, I need something like:
if single post taxID == Y
then widget content = Title + body from postID == X
Is there a quick way to do this with miniloop codes?

I’d like the mini loop to display the next 3 activities after today. I think I need to put a bit of code in the Custom Fields box.

]]>The titles of the posts in my miniloop aren’t linking to the posts themselves (although the “after” portion is doing so just fine). They link to the home page instead although I’ve used the [ml_url] shortcode as its href attribute

I’m trying to create a style for the Mini Loops posts via the Item Format field and it constantly globally caches the results, seemingly when things are most messed up in the styling. I was able to fix the image caching by checking out another support thread but things like
tags still seem to persist at some places I had them before but removed them already.
Happens with different browsers and even my friends had the same view than I did, so it’s not just my computer. Any way to disable that caching?

I’know this plugin hasn’t been updated for many years, but I thinks it’s a great plugin. Kailey, if you could give it a try it would be awesome.
In the meanwhile, I’ll try to reverse the update, at least by reaplicing the shortcode.php with the old one. It’s located in the wp-includes folder.

Therefore, many browsers give you an alert that there are unsafe parts of content on your page.
Many tools get around this by referencing photos either relatively, or doing //example.com which works and falls back to whichever you are using.
Is there a way to get this changed? Or am I missing a feature that lets me do this already?

Suppose I have:

— Sub Category A (ID 2)
— Sub category B (ID 3)
If I’m using this shortcode:

I will get all the posts from category 1, sub-category A and sub-category B (which is OK)
BUT, if I’m using either
[miniloop categories=”2″]
or
[miniloop categories=”3″]
I don’t get any post
Am I doing something wrong, or is there some other way to request posts from only wanted sub-categories ?
