Will this plugin get an update? It’s not working on the latest Version

Now always returns “Cannot connect to minecraft.net”

]]>Mods keep closing my requests due to posts being old and “outdated versions of WordPress”. Until the feature is added, post date does not matter. Please do not close this until the feature gets added.
The creator might also be gone, which in that case, I’ll learn how to make WordPress plugins and recreate this myself.
Anyways, I (and a few other fellows) have been asking for BuddyPress support for a while now. It’s mandatory to this plugin, as most WordPress installations associated with Minecraft servers that have registration also have BuddyPress, and this plugin doesn’t work with it. Thanks in advance.
Ive asked a few times, and there are a few other people asking for this, you need to support BuddyPress! ASAP!
]]>Would it be possible to change it so when they register it points out that they need to spell their username in the identical, case-sensitive way that their Minecraft username is? I have a couple users that didn’t do this when they registered, and their Avatar (pulled from Minotar.net using the Minotar plugin) is showing up as a Steve face.
]]>Hello,
I installed your plugin and it works fine.
The only problem I have is that the overlay for ‘Minecraft Username’ won’t do his job.
I hope you can give me a tip to fix this or you inform me when a new version is coming who is compatible with 3.8+.
Regards
]]>Hi when i try and use this plugin i get this Fatal Error every time

]]>Great plugin! Works on my regular blog, but it doesn’t work on my BuddyPress website. Could you add support for BuddyPress please?
]]>I love your plugin, it works on my blog pretty well, but, it doesn’t on my BuddyPress site. All I’d ever need from this plugin is just that. Please add this!
]]>Hello,
I love your plugin, but unfortunatly my theme doesn’t have a login/register button and so i wanted to ask if you could make a small widget with a register/login form.
I hope you will consider this and get back to me.

]]>I’d like a way that I could either simply enter in the usernames I want to allow to register. This way the plugin will check the local whitelist (just a list within wp-admin) and then if it validates there, goes to the Minecraft.net credentials check.
The other option, and more difficult and only work on MC servers that run on the same server as the WordPress install, would be to check the supplied name against the white-list.txt file, then validate the credentials against Minecraft.net.
Just my thoughts on the White-List debate I saw going on.
Thanks!

]]>So, I downloaded/installed and then activated the plugin. It’s nowhere in my admin panel and there isn’t any widget to put on the page. Mind you, I’m new to wordpress and web hosting as a whole and i’m kind of learning as I go. Are you able to help me to find what I have to do to implement and use this plugin? thanks!

]]>My idea for that would also to be able to put someones email rather than their minecraft name. I know for me i had to log into minecraft to see my username as i log in with my email. dont know if this is possible but just a thought.

Hi!
I’ve got a lot of interest in using this plugin on my blog, but it seems I need to set a php setting on to do so. I’ve read some pages advising against this, as it is a potential security hole and is switched off by default.
Is there an alternative? Am I missing something vital there?
Thanks,
Tuppence

]]>Can you make it so people (when they go to the login page) see “Minecraft Username” in stead of “username” so they know to use there minecraft username instead of just a normal (maybe random name) for there account.

]]>Hi there!
How about this feature:
Register at a wordpress-site (using the validator at minecraft.net) and get whitelisted in the minecraft-server.
That way some of the annoying spam from newbies can be stopped in the chat, and still letting new players in….

]]>The next release of Minecraft Validator will be its last major release. ??
But! That’s only because its functionality has outgrown the Minecraft Validator name. ?? I haven’t settled on a new name yet (any suggestions are welcome), but the new plugin will be modular and, as of now, support username validation and have Votifier integration through a shortcode (meaning you can parse and display a Votifier log). More features are in the works, but I needed that one so it got priority. Any other thoughts for possible features? Maybe the ability to do popup shortcode for items/potions/etc (like [diamond pickaxe] showing a popup that give the construction/stats/etc for a diamond pickaxe)? Something that hooks into MCBans? I dunno… you tell me!

]]>Doesn’t work for me and that’s coming from a fresh unmodified installation. The issue is that the error “please enter a username” pops up upon each attempt to register meaning that it didn’t post which in turn causes your php file to send an empty string to Minecraft that returns false so you also get “not a vaild minecraft account”. When I disable the plugin, I can register as usual. I was really excited about this one… I’ll be watching to see if it gets a fix.

]]>There doesn’t seem much point in rolling an update just to add some info, so I’m going to start a ‘from the author’ thread here for your education. Minecraft Validator was written because I’m a big Minecraft fan and I was bored. That said… it’s very simple. I’d love to expand on it somehow, if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts they’d like to share.
Either way, enjoy the plugin, let me know if it works/doesn’t work in your particular environment, and I’d love to know where it’s being implemented. Oh, and please comment/vote!
