I’m using Dropbox image links with the Gallery plugin and while everything appears fine on the front end of the site, inside the block editor the actual images don’t show, just alt text. I realized that this is caused by the block escaping &
and converting it to \u0026amp
. When I use the code editor and replace the unicode entity everything renders correctly. Also oddly enough, images are rendering as expected inside the Classic Editor but I figured the block editor is the source of the issue, not sure if it is the block plugin or the editor. When I insert images using Dropbox URLs with the native Gallery block, this issue doesn’t occur, it renders correctly on the frontend and inside of the block editor. Is there some type of escaping correction that can be done on the URLs for the images, this is an example (not real link):
Current behavior: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/fdafdafdafda\u0026amp;raw=1
Expected behavior: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/fdafdafdafda&raw=1
I really like this gallery, I just find confusing its method of ordering the images.
The order now is from top to bottom creating columns. It would be nice to have an option to order the images from left to right in rows.
The current method is especially confusing when you click on a photo and start to use the lightbox. I expect the order of images differently since the lightbox suggests a linear operation. When you click on the next arrow, you move to the image which is below, but it would be more sensible to move to the next image on the right.
Is it possible to add this extra function to the gallery?
]]>I purchased this plugin and when I activate it my main menu stops working correctly. The sub menu does not load with the plugin activated. As soon as I deactivate the plugin it works again correctly.
As well as this any existing pages I have created using Tatsu with images displayed in a multi column row stop displaying. Once I deactivate the plugin it works fine.
As I had no way of testing this without buying the plugin it is disapointing. Is there a fix for this? I am using the Oshine theme and tatsu editor. However for some pages I am using the Gutenburg editor.
Hi
I am thankful for this plugin. I report the following error in order to improve its quality.
mgb-masonry-image-gallery/templates/migb.php line 29
$migb_css .= ‘border-color: ‘.$attributes[‘photoBorderColor’].’;’;
Create the following message in the error_log file:
[15-Jun-2023 11:47:46 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined array key “photoBorderColor” in /home/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mgb-masonry-image-gallery/templates/migb.php on line 29
Regards.
]]>Hi. the masonry plugin has been great, but it display messy image when I select 45 photos. What causes it?
And, is it possible to add zoom feature in the future please?
Thanks for the plugin; just installed it and got it working quickly, very nice!
I was wondering if it’s possible to make the lighbox background a solid color, rather than semi-transparent.
]]>Thank you for creating this. It’s super clean and easy to use! The only issue I’m having is that my images are being loaded by columns instead of rows (image order goes down instead of left to right across the page). Is there a way to force images to load left to right instead of top to bottom?

]]>Hi there,
I am experiencing a problem with the Masonry Gallery Gutenberg Block which is not working properly right now. I realised the problem some days ago, not sure when it started exactly.
The point is that I am able to see the correct pattern of images in the page preview inside wordpress, but in the published page all images are placed in a single column.
I read that you tested the compatibility up to WordPress 6.1.0 version, so I would like to know if there is an issue of compatibility with 6.1.1 version causing this problem.
Best,
Paolo
]]>Hi! Thanks for this plugin, I really appreciate it.
There’s just one problem that I’m facing: the lightbox component, most often than not, opens the actual image URL rather than popping up the lightbox.
Now, the problem is that it doesn’t happen all the time. Sometimes it loads just fine and sometimes navigating back to the site will solve the issue. Regardless, it’s been really troublesome.
I’m using Twenty Twenty-Two and I’ve already tried disabling other plugins.
Thanks in advance!
]]>Hey!
Love the plugin. 2 minor things – I’m looking to remove the white space between the top and bottom of the images so it all fits together like a puzzle. Also trying to be able to click through the picture (keep the grayscale, I really like that) and then open a separate tab to the artist’s instagram. Example below:
https://www.soaverecords.com/artists
Thanks in advance!

This plugin is great, thanks! Is it possible for the captions of the images to be visible?
