For the past week or so users are seeing files “can’t be downloaded securely” when downloading files hosted by the Memphis Documents plugin. This was working for years up until recently. Our site is hosted locally, not accessible to outside. Are there any known issues that may cause this?

I have been using this plugin for years and overall it works great. One issue I find is that I cannot locate what “folder” a document is in. I end up having to click through many folders to determine its location. Is there any way to search and find what folder a particular document is hosted in?

Can’t deselect show in table columns. Some of the columns I want not to show by unchecking it. Once I do it remains checked. I want to hide the version column.

Hello, I am using Version 3.10.10. All of a sudden, I am only seeing the latest uploaded file in any given folder. For example, I go to a folder and see file X. I then upload file Y and when I go back to that folder, I only see file Y. I am on WordPress version 6.1.1.

We’ve tried everything and can’t figure this out. The colors of the links in MDocs are bright cyan, which is nearly impossible to read on a white background. We’ve changed every color setting for MDocs and every color setting for the theme. Nothing changes this color for links in MDocs. We have no other color issues within the theme or other plugins, so this has to be a MDocs setting. Help!

I have some PDF documents that I found. But I cannot figure out the folder they are stored in so I can move or delete them. IS there a way to see where the document is really located?

I have a bunch of folders inside Memphis Doc available to users logged in who are of “Role X”. Is it possible to limit access to one specific folder to users of “Role Y”?

I am uploading multiple items and the order they are being displayed is very random

for instance i loaded these in order by date older first most recent last

but the sort order displaying is

Minutes – FY 2022 – 2022-04-12 – Bullfrog Creek
Minutes – FY 2022 – 2022-05-10 – Bullfrog Creek
Minutes – FY 2022 – 2022-03-08 – Bullfrog Creek

If i sign out and back into the site in-between each load the load in the correct order but i have hundreds of files to load and that would take forever. is there a way to adjust the sort after or something im missing?

I have updated my website to wordpress 5.9.2 and PHP 8.0, and then got a fatal error as:

I installed MDOCS and uploaded a couple files. But clicking on them from the list (public page) doesn’t do anything. The row highlights is all it does. I’ve looked and I can’t find what setting is not allowing me to download the documents?

Hello, memphis document library works very well but for a while now it has started to give me the upload window, from the button generated with shortcode on the page, in half.
what could have caused this? I have not touched the settings and no new plugins have been added. How can I fix it? where can I see a log?

For some reason unknown to me, our “standard” users are not seeing the Past Version tab option on all the file categories.

If I Ctrl+F5 to refresh, I can make the Versions Tab appear and vanish in the Billing folder.

I have found out that all uploads by users have been deleted from 2018 till 2019,

my question is, i can still see the links to the posts, or in mcdoc list textfile the reference, but the physical pdf or word files that where uploaded are not in the mcdocs folder. Are they lost forever? Does this plugin delete everything by itself when it is older then 2 years?

It really is too bad. This is a great plug-in.

Out of nowhere both my sites began experiencing the same issue. Something in the plugin is causing the Document List Configuration table on the settings page to blow out with like 500 too many empty rows and this is causing a 504 on all mdocs admin pages that render the mdocs-list-table.

I have absolutely no idea what caused this or how to fix it…

I mark all the files I want to delete. Then I click on Batch delete and the pop-up window does not show the files that have been marked. Where’s the problem?

If you delete one file at a time, you can delete it.

I have been using your plugin for a few years now to organise downloads on client websites, although after a server crash, and a reinstall of the recovered files, we have lost the accurate download figures.

Is there a way to manually input a start number of downloads for each file so that the system counts up from that input number?

The problem is that, when I add the shortcode [mdocs cat=”name of the category”] to the page, it doesen’t work. The only dropdown file options that are currently working are the Download and Go to Post options; the Description, Preview and Other Versions are not working. These options function when I got to the post, but not directly from the dropdown in the documents list. I have tried checking the Bootstrap boxes in Setting > Disable Third Party Includes: but it has not remedied the situation, so it’s likely a conflict with my theme (Mesmerize Version: 1.6.106). I’m a complete newbie to WordPress, but I was wondering if anyone might be able to provide some insight on what part of the theme may be conflicting/what css I might need to edit. Thank you very much!

All of the download links to our documents have stopped working on the above website. They were fine until a couple of days ago. Now, it just gives this error for each file, with the filename included in the error message each time:

Hello everyone, I’ve been in contact with the plugin developer to discuss the status of this plugin. He has informed me that he will no longer be doing active development or maintenance on Memphis Documents Library due to life circumstances that have him focusing on other things.

I am talking with a few different seasoned plugin developers to discuss the possibility of taking over the development of Memphis Docs, and applying a Freemium model to it. This would include a complete code refactoring and UI update, as well as Gutenberg and page builder compatibility.

While these talks are just starting, I am confident I can find someone to work with me on keeping Memphis Docs alive and bringing it up-to-date with modern WordPress development. There is no option in wordpress menus about memphis, although it is installed and activated..

I see this issue has been marked [resolved] in a few other bug reports but we are still experiencing it, even after plugin updates. The issue is applies to any new file added. Files added previously are not effected and non-logged-in users can see them.

I’ve discovered that the default setting for mDocs posts includes a <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, follow”> tag. I know that I can manually change this in the post edit page, but that’s really laborious. Is there a way to set mDocs so that mDocs posts will have this tag set to <meta name=”robots” content=”index, follow”>?

We are multi-year users of MDocs, a great plugin which we have come to significantly rely on. Upon recently upgrading to WordPress 5.7 and php 8.0, we began experiencing a FATAL ERROR. The initial segment of the FATAL ERROR is provided below. Rolling back to php 7.4 resolves the error. We would be happy to provide additional error details privately if this would be helpful.
